The park is located just north of Lingshui, Hainan. You head north from Lingshui on the road to Wushishan and there is an exit with a sign after about 10 km. Then after about another 15 km you will come to a yellow village. Every building is yellow. This is the entrance to the park. At the end of the village the road appears to turn into a driveway but this is still the main road, now one lane. It heads uphill another 4-5 kms and there is a gate where you pay a 20RMB entrance fee. Foreigners need a passport copy. The road keeps climbing up another 13 kms and up to 5,000'. Finally you arrive at a hotel, restaurant, lake and mountain rain forest trail. There are fish in the lake. The trail is concrete and goes back through the jungle more than 1 km, through babbling brooks and over hill and dale. It seems to go on forever. Maybe it does. By 4pm I could hear the thunder getting very close and I was on a bicycle with a 3 1/2 hour ride in front of me to get home so I turned back without finding out what was at the far end of the trail. If you go by bicycle as I did, bring rain gear in your back pack. At 5,000' the temp is 10C cooler than Lingshui and when it rains the rain is heavy and comes from 15,000' so it is very cold. If you want to get out of the city and into the jungle with no one around, this is the place. Rained so hard on the way down the mountain that the water killed my I-Phone so no pictures I'm afraid.
