brent crater trail

Brent Crater is accessible from Highway 17 along the north side of the park. This 300 million year old crater is easily visible from an observation tower. You can see most of the way around the crater. It is 3.4KM across and 1,400 ft deep and has filled with dirt, trees so it's now about 500 feet deep. The trail down to Tecumseh Lake was beautiful and well maintained. It's about a 30 minute drive in from the highway. Go the extra 20 minutes to Brent where there is beautiful Cedar Lake.
