XD

Cypress Mountain is the best ski hill close to Vancouver. It is less than a 30 minute drive and it is always nice up there. If it is raining in Vancouver, it will be snowing on the mountain! There are a wide range of runs for all skill levels. The runs are all well maintained and and the lineups for the lifts aren't too bad either. The biggest problem with this hill are a bunch of tourists that can't ski, but they can also be good for a laugh as well.If you want a quick trip out to a mountain, Cypress is a good one. It's great to be able to ski and hang out by the ocean all in the same day.

Great place to take your dogs. The falls are majestic and the cedar trees make the hike very pleasant!

This is a fabulous place to walk, sit, and to just get outdoors. Pack a lunch and sit by the sea shore!

Decided to go snow tubing today as the website stated the tube park was open for the day despite being nearly February and barely any snowfall this year. Upon arrival after an hour of driving we found the mountain to be free of snow and no other customers there besides my girlfriend and I but we paid and headed towards the tubing area where we met with the 4 other employees that were all surprised to see us arrive. On our first ride down the hill I got stuck after just a few feet as their was barely any snow to keep the momentum of the tube going and same was said for my girlfriend. We gave it two more tries before we had enough and even the employees stated that the snow was bad. After only about 15 minutes I asked for a refund and the lady up front told me the only thing she would be able to do for me was to provide a voucher for a future visit... the problem was the voucher would expire in April and if their is no snow in January I highly doubt the vouchers would be any good. Personally we found this to be a bit greedy on the part of Cypress and we were very disappointed.

Great family fun, we went there December 28th 2014 a group of 8 in three cars (no parking fee) arriving at just after 11:00 am there was a short queue for tickets ($18 per adult for 2 hours), a longer queue for the ride to the top. We choose to walk as we were all eager to start. The tubing was fun and supervised well, after a few times we got the ride up as we were getting tired but by then the wait for the ride was minimal. Our ages ranged from 23 to 56 but we saw small children having fun as well. There were clean toilets, drinks and light snacks available. The tickets we purchased were for 2 hours but would allow more time if you have refreshments and there is an area where you can watch if not partaking. Allow at least three hours to park, play, watch and eat.

My husband and I paid for a two hour lesson at Cyprus Mountain B.C. We arrived to a snowy winter wonderland and noticed that there is no pay parking (bonus). All the signage was marked very well and everyone was very helpful and efficient as I had never been there before. I stood at the area where I would start my lesson, and the INSTRUCTORS came out to organize us into groups. Yes INSTRUCTORS! My husband and I had our very own instructor for two hours. I thought it would be a group environment as there was at least ten in our class but this was awesome! The price for lessons and rental was $129 which was super cheap compared to the surrounding mountain resorts. The instructor worked with our individual skills and taught us further. IT WAS GREAT

We were there on December 30, 2014. It took 20 minutes to purchase tickets to the Snow Tube Park, plus another 50+ minutes to get into the Snow Tube Park, plus another 20 minutes at the top of the chutes. That was more than an hour and a half of waiting before the first run.Long story short, we had a grand total of 7 runs in 2 hours, the maximum time you can stay with the ticket. They sold too many tickets and closed one chute - only four out of five chutes. It's a waste of time and money. You've been warned.

there is no snow in this mountain; 2013-14 both have been crap; Silver pass at Cypress is a useless piece of crap. Cypress team could have relaxed the rule for Silver holders to be able to ski on the weekend as an apology when there is no snow. Again this year (2014-12), there is some snow finally late December, between Dec 26 and Jan 2 the Silver pass holders cannot ski. By the time, we can ski, there will be no snow. No way I ever buy a Cypress pass again ! Don't buy a pass here, it is a bad deal.

Over in Canada for a wedding and the bride and groom and some of the guests thought it would be a good idea to go skiing 5 days before the wedding!!! All was well. Fortunately the day we choose saw the first real snow they had seen this season, so quite a few of the slopes were open. Everything was quite well organised and running pretty well. The tuition slopes, however, were overcrowded and left very little space for someone who hasn't skied for 30 years to practice. Managed to get on the green slope for a few runs eventually after many tumbles!!! The rest of the party, who were more advanced skiers, took advantage of the others slopes and all enjoyed their days skiing. Would definitely go again, but Whistler is only a bit further up the road!!!

10-15 min drive from Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver. A must show to every visitor I've ever had from out of town....even if it's just to the lookout point, halfways up.

It is not too far out of West Vancouver and you do travel up a fair steep grade as you are climbing the mountain by bike or by carTHE VIEW IS SPECTACULAR The skiing is wonderful and it is a fun laid back atmosphere ENJOY

Drove up this mountain at the suggestion of a local we had met while in Stanley Park the day before - she did not steer us wrong. The views were spectacular as you climbed the mountain there were periodic pull outs and one good sized one near the top. The views are amazing as you look across the water into downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. Fantastic at sunset and watching the lights go on as it gets dark is a treat. A word of warning though, this does not seem to be a well known area for tourists and there are no facilities at the pullouts. That being said, it was well worth our time, actually the views were almost better than those from Grouse Mountain and it was free :-) Now that's a good deal :-)

Each year for the past few years, my husband and I, who are both seniors, have bought and used passes to ski Cypress. We like the runs which are sufficiently long and varied, the price that we pay for the passes and the fact that, because we ski mid week, there are no line ups.

IIt has one of the best views of Vancouver and English Bay. In the winter it is a great place for Cross Country skiing.
