the links shell cove golf course

We have eaten here many times and the meals are always large and good value for money. However. the last two times we have dined there we have found the meals to be less 'refined'. The natural oysters were served with seafood sauce and a dry lemon segment.The kilpatrick topping on the oysters was chunky and sweet. The crab and oyster shells had algae on them and the bernaise sauce was thick with a skin on it. The food was still enjoyable but not as good as it use to be. There also seemed to be a lot of people in the kitchen not in catering or waiting on apparel which I found a bit off putting.

Great food, well priced, quick service. Really enjoyed the slow cooked pork belly, and the lime panacotta to die for. The Angus beef with calamari, scallops and crab claw was scrumptious an verociously eaten by hubby.

Very quite and only really some passing golfers came and went during our afternoon. The V shaped balcony was great and the view special..

My friends had their engagement party here and ordered cocktail style food. The food was pretty average, considering the Links usually do a nice lunch. There were about 6 options, chips, deep fried calamari, greek salad, meat skewers on sticks (3 types) and mini quiches and pies. For a nice looking golf course that people also have weddings at, pies and quiches that taste frozen are really below par. The food tasted bland and greasy.There was also an incredible amount of wasted food. The number of food allowed per person was obviously not recommended to the engaged couple because there was over 10 large platters left over that were cold before some people had even eaten. I would not recommend the canapés food menu to anyone, it is frozen party food.

The Links is a very long, hilly and unforgiving course. It is definitely not suited to the 'social - have a bash golfer.' The course is relatively new (approx. 8 yrs) and has thick tuffted grass adjacent to the fairways, any stray shots are more often than not lost. A challenge for the competent golfer. In Summer. the 'Beware of the Snakes' signs are another incentive not to wander, they are there!

You can have a $10 lunch or a la carte, the food is quiet good, the view is fantastic and you can purchase a drink from the bar.

I've been here a few times with my girlfriends. The atmosphere is nice and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. If you like your golf, do what my husband and I did last time we visited. Book a buggy and do some holes after a lovely lunch. It's a great way to way to spend an afternoon.
