anglesea golf club

My partner and I frequently dine at the anglesea golf club. We have tried most of the menu items and have not being disappointed!! The French food and beverage manager does and outstanding job, he is very attentive to Customers needs and nothing is too much trouble. Highly highly recommend.

Our Family dinner at the golf club was a big fail !!! pre cooked food re heated , CHEAP !!!! good time for the Poor management to wake up !!

A long weekend in Anglesea in always busy. We tried to get a dessert here but the queue to get in was too long. We have eaten here on many occasions and can never fault the food. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The pokies were worth a flutter and get a small win was also a bonus. The Kangaroos are a highlight. 300 of them on the course and if you come at dusk you can photograph them near the car park. You are not allowed to enter the course to photograph them but people do this anyway.

We went with 4 other families. 10 adults and 14 children. They handled our group easily. The food is great value and everyone was able to choose something that appealed to them.

Busy night and our group of 8 was placed on a table for 6. When a few larger tables were vacated we asked if we could move. We were told we could and then we got told off by another waitess (Joscelyn). Joscelyn then delivered our food to the table with attitude and I was actually told to "speak up next ti me" when she gave me the incorrect order. At this point we asked to speak to the manager he did genuinely attempt to make up for the way we had been treated. The complimentary chocolate mousses were quite delicious.

We stopped at the golf course solely to see the kangaroos. It was raining when we arrived, but we were still able to see about half a dozen hopping around! Worth a quick stop. It would have been great to stop and have a coffee or lunch, but we had such a late start to the trip that we didn't have time - would recommend spending more time than we could though.

We have often gone to dine at the bistro and have always enjoyed the hearty soups with rolls and main courses served with a generous salad i.e. not just lettuce, or a generous serve of veg. We definitely missed the great cakes especially the lemon meringue tart. We preferred the basic fare rather than the new yuppie menu

Anglesea golf course is good place to stop when you drive the great ocean road even if you are not planning to play. Golf course is just gew kilometers from great ocean road and there is 400 kangaroos living and you can spot hips of them from just parking splots :)

Recently I dined at the Anglesea Golf Club (under new management) wow what a meal. Whilst having a wine enjoyed a platter including tempura pawns followed by a scrumptious Guinness beef pie and divine chocolate mouse with Belgium chocolate. Next visit can't wait for the Bread and Butter pudding. Thoroughly recommend this eatery.

The kangaroos, scenery and fresh air.easy parking at top of the town. A visit for tourists is a must!

Big menu good veg choices and surprisingly delicious. Big windows so you can see golfers and roos during the day and stars at night. Circa quick easy dinner recommend it.

Great views, great dining room, but the menu needs changing as I have eaten everything on it a few times. Great place though.

I have eaten here on many occasions and this time went for a dessert. My partner and I both had the pistachio creme brulee cake. Extremely yummy with cream ! This is a great place to look out on the golf course and watch some kangaroos.

Went there for dinner. Great view and good menu. Some meals are large. Not crowded and staff were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

The best views looking over the golf course with the ocean in the distance. Even though its a largish room the food and service were just great. Great for couples, families anyone and the prices are suited to all as well.After the meal if you feel up to a little bit of a game on the pokies that is possible also. For families its not visible when eating but in a different room so doesn't interrupt your intimate evening.
