Proshop was efficient but not particularly friendly. Returning carts after 5pm is a hassle as the proshop closes.The course itself was in great condition and all of our group (20) felt that this was the best designed course on the Bellarine. #2 & #3 would be the 13th Beach courses.

Have been on a 3 week golf trip. Barwon Heads was a marvellous experience. Friendly pro shop staff, great course and not over the top price wise. Good pro shop excellent selection of clothes and accessories. Will definitely be playing again when nect in Victoria.

What a top class overnight experience we had as 2 golfing couples. The staff were very friendly, helpful, excellent. Our rooms were great, classy and comfortable. We did enjoy the par 3 nine hole course unexpectedly as we arrived mid afternoon and it was suggested by the reception staff. We had fast room delivery after request for gin glasses, Ice and wine glasses was quickly attended to. Dinner was part of our package and the meal absolutely superb. The dining room was formal and appealing. We were so impressed. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate and well ventilated.The links golf course was well tended and challenging. Hang gliders puffed along the beach nearby In the late afternoon.Breakfast was lovely, the venue has many rooms as bar and eating areas so we didn't feel we were intruding on golf club functions when we were enjoying a drink or lunch.

Thank you for your wonderful review. It’s nice to think the sound of roaring surf you woke to was also heard by guests 90 years ago when the clubhouse first opened. I wonder if their reviews would have been as positive as yours (and those below) if TripAdvisor had existed then. Thank you.

Barwon Heads Golf Club is a delightful trip back in time. Great service and friendly people and the sort of rooms you expect in a golf club. Add to that a challenging experience out on the course and it all adds up a must do on the Bellarine.

Staff service was outstanding at every opportunity. Rooms comfortable and overall good value accommodation.

We visit BHGC every year.( group of 16)...one of the great features..park your car and everything you need is on site...great links course, superb old clubhouse ( open fires)..outstanding food, service & wine..full size billiard tables..recently refurbished rooms...easy walk to town...it's a great place to stay

Thank you for the considerable time you’ve spent writing this mostly positive review. We find your comments very useful and since receiving them have revised the dress code brochure and (hopefully) made it more user-friendly. And good news… the renovations to the exterior of the clubhouse are complete. If we are undertaking any significant renovations in the future we will do to our absolute best to inform all guests about them at the time of booking or prior to their arrival. Thanks again.

Stayed at the BHGC in June on a B&B and "Golf" package. The coarse is sensational and a delight to play. The accomodation is good but rooms are smaller than standard hotel rooms. This is compensated for by the excellent service from the staff. There is a distinct lack of pretension and a willingness to meet needs of guests. We even had breakfast kindly brought up to our room, instead of partaking in the dining room. Additionally, I was offered a "jacket" to qualify to dine in the restaurant. Excellent tone and wonderful location
