Mary and reg Keneally with the help of many strangers have rebuilt the wonderful collection of memorabilia which shows the important history of Marysville. Unfortunately much of their original and amazing work was destroyed in the 2009 fires. But they have risen to the challenge and with their hard work, persistence and belief in the history of marysville's survival can provide the visitor with a satisfying overview of what the town was and is now.

I recently revisited Marysville, after the devastating bushfires a few years back that virtually destroyed the town. What a pleasant surprise! Of course all the historical old guest houses are gone, but this small town is open for business, with lovely gift shops, cafes, restaurants etc. The fabulous buddha sculpture gardens have been restored, what a magic place it is too. A must see for sure. I was very pleased to find that Steavonsons Falls have been made disability friendly, with wide pathways which lead right up to the falls themselves, what a lovely experience. There are walking tracks for the more fit members as well. The caravan park is in a prime position, in a very pretty setting, I recommend the larger cabins facing the little creek that crosses in front.,sitting on the front porch, with a bevy and cooking on the BBQ provided, watching the ducks, with the sound of the creek burbling in the background,is a very nice way to spend an evening. Of course there are plenty of other attractions nearby, remember it is in the wine country, but I will leave that for another time.I recommend

Just had a lvoely weekend in Marsyville stayed at the Caravan Park in a cabin where the river runs past your door. A short stroll from here takes you to the local shops, including the lolly shop and cafes and a few doors down is the Historic Society rebuilt from scratch with a very interesting array of items and media.

absolutely loved our visit to the history society ,from the moment we drove into the driveway we were welcomed with a big smile from the hostess mary and her husband. there knowledge of the local history is "second to none" , they were able to describe the entirety of the towns history without hesitation or second guessing themselves , and there passion shines through them and you can not help but be enthralled by their stories , including the tragedy of black saturday which bought a tears to my wifes eyes and my own.we both highly recommend a visit here whenever you are in marysville as they receive new parts of history each and everyday!
