Its nice to park the car and travel across on the ferry to Queenscliff. As a foot passenger its good fun for the kids and it even has a play area aboard.

Excellent way to celebrate a special occasion with afternoon tea on ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliffe and return. Food very delicious and fresh, good selection of savoury and sweets, complimented with a glass of wine/tea/coffee. Staff very friendly and professional.

Drive either port and catch the ferry $ 72 but worth it .Pleasant trip across water and drive on drive off. Food and coffee on board. leave plenty of time as gates close before boarding .

Ticketing and queuing process should be improved because even though you have prebooked tickets there's no express queue to get on board. Resulting in being in a queue for far too long as it takes about 3 to 5 mins for the one car in front to get their tickets.

We Took the ferry to Sorrento this morning and back toQueenscliff tonight. It was as always a very pleasant trip. I noticed the kids play area has been improved with a small indoor playground and some ikea chairs near the windows. We left the car in Queenscliff to save money and we took our own food and drinks. The trip itself is a smooth and pleasant ride. As a special surprise we noticed a dolphin family on the way home. Great day out and good value.

Looking to enjoy a drive around Port Phillip Bay, can be started from either side from Geelong or the Sorrent side on the Mornington Peninsula. The ferry service operates hourly and can accommodate vehicles, caravans and larger vehicles Jump on board and traverl across for a relaxing lunch before returning home

We travelling from Queenscliff to Sorento. The whole process was very easy & smooth. We arrived at the terminal 15 minutes to 12, we were sitting in the sun on the ferry & off by 12 noon. Lots of room to move around on board. Overall excellent. Would use this service again as the Mornington Peninsula is well worth a visit.

The Searoad Ferries leave every hour from Sorrento situated on the Mornington Peninsula and cross Port Phillip bay to Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula. As there are two ferries so the return sailings from Queenscliff are also every hour. Travel with your car, campervan or on foot with pets and bikes. Inside the ferry there is a café, comfortable lounge seats, and dining tables where you can have a light snack and a drink. You can sit indoors with air conditioning or warmth depending on the season or you may choose to spend the trip outdoors in the fresh sea air. On the larger ferry there is a lift for those with wheelchairs and prams or just find the stairs too difficult. Restrooms are clean and roomy. Fares are cheaper if you book online. The journey gives passengers the opportunity to see coastlines with beautiful rock formations, natural bushland, picturesque beaches and the coastline architecture is an art form to show how our wonderful country has evolved. At times Dolphins will play alongside of the ferry making the trip a unique experience. If you are the type who worries about sea sickness, these are very large and stable ferries and even in rough weather there is not too much movement to be felt. The trip takes around 40 minutes and is a very comfortable, restful and enjoyable experience.

Caught a 5pm ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento with the car and Mrs JB. Booked online, and found the website very informative and easy to use. Arrived 5 minutes before intended departure, last car on, and the whole process of driving on, driving off, as simple as can be. Ferry is of a medium size, with enough room to spread out and enjoy the 45 minute trip. General areas and toilets were clean and comfortable. Cant speak about the food, but had a couple of coffees which were quite good.Suprised to find that we had 3 dolphins ride along with us on the final 15 minutes of the journey. Water was clear and blue, so we could see them dart back and forth , under and around the boat. A good little break from driving and a pleasent way to cross the bay, albeit a little more expensive at $70 than i would of thought for car and 2 people

Great trip as foot passengers. Beautiful scenery and regular services so we were able to have a picnic at Queensclif and return. Really enjoyable.

Last minute decision to take the ferry as we decided to take our 4yr daughter as she hadn't been on any sort of boat. She loved it! We pulled up as they were finishing boarding and they let us on. Great views along the trip and very clean on board! Nice little cafe also

We decided to take the ferry across from Sorrento to Queenscliff to save on some driving and road tolls back to Tullermarine airport from the Mornington Peninsula. The journey was straightforward; from buying tickets, boarding and the journey itself. The journey was comfy and only took 45 minutes.

A great service. This car ferry is large and comfortable with open area decks on the roof, bow and stern. Comfortable travelling lounge with large sea windows down below. The ferry is clean and comfortable. The only issue is the price. Very expensive to get a car and family of four across the rip from Sorrento.

I travelled with my family on queenscliffe / sorrento ferries from Queenscliff to Sorrento and took the car with us. I love this ferry services as you can carry your car across as we were planning to visit Mornington Peninsula and Inverloch. You can sit on top deck and view the sea and scenery or can go down where you have covered area with the cafe which has the tv and a children play area.

The ferry is excellent, it leaves on time every hour, a slot can be booked in advance, the food on board is better than you'd expect on a ferry. But it is pretty expensive for a car ($60) and each extra passenger costs money!
