For the past few years we have visited Chesterfield Farm in Scoresby every Easter Sunday. It is a great day out with the kids! With many opportunities for the kids to learn about farm life, there is a cattle dog show and also milking of some very cute lambs. It is an opportunity for the kids to get up close to farm animals and hold a bunny rabbit or two. BBQ facilities and exceptionally clean toilets!

Chesterfield Farm is a great day out, whether you are young or not so young. Plenty of opportunities to be up close and personal with the animals. Entry prices won't break the bank, sure there are added extras like "tractor" ride and purchasing feed for the animals but all at a very reasonable price. Plenty of demonstrations, opportunities to ask questions and be involved. Arrive early, that way you can experience everything and don't forget to take your camera. A great day out for the entire family.

Visited on Dec 28th. My 7 year old had fun feeding the camels, goats & deers. The tractor ride costs $3 extra, but it wasn't a ride on the tractor, which I thought it would be. One tractor would pull a train-like of about 10-15 kids/ parents and circle the farm. You can pet and cuddle some baby animals, and milk a cow. All in all about 2hours spent there.

There are tractor rides, cheap entry and sheep dog shows twice a day. The sheep dogs are trained to round up the sheep.Recommended for families with kids from 2 to 65 yrs old! I took my 5 year old granddaughter to Chesterfield farm during the July school holidays where we spent a most enjoyable sunny though chilly winter afternoon walking around in a beautiful natural and peaceful farm setting. My granddaugher was in awe of the open space and the incredible views to the nearby parklands and hills. The opportunity to handmilk the cow was the biggest hit! What an experience for her! She got to see kangaroos, one with a joey in its pouch, a sheep dog at work, a peacock showing off his feathers, llamas, alpaca, emus, pigs, chooks etc. She spent a lot of time cuddling the tame rabbits before we checked out the community vegetable gardens. The cost was fair and reasonable, and you can purchase a bag of animal feed for a few dollars. We chose not to take the tractor ride & throughly enjoyed the experience strolling around the farm.

We had an awesome time at Chesterfield Farm. All activities were well timed and managed & entrance price was fair. The best part was the hands on activities for the kids. Hand milking a cow, bottle feeding baby lambs & goats. Highly recommend !!

We had a hard time looking for such a comprehensive farm in Melbourne. Thank to the locals' help, we manage to locate this farm which took us around 45 mins' drive from Blackburn. We paid a reasonable entrance and a separate tour in a tram ride. Very well managed farm with fixed timing schedules for talks on animals. We paid a small fee to hand feed the animals too. Bring along hat and sun screen as it got really hot near noon. Overall, we find the farm very educational and strongly recommend to families with children.
