Best around. Great layout. Top scenery. Amazing to see Kangaroos so close. Played there for 25 years... a fantastic course. .. and a great bar!!

Recently played the front nine at Yarrambat and was particularly disappointed with the state of some of the greens. Ducks are in plague proportions on the 7th and 8th holes, making putting almost impossible. There are plenty of other public courses around the northern suburbs that are cheaper and in far better shape.

If your a golfer visiting Melbourne and want to see kangaroos, go for a round at Yarrambat. Great 18hole course and plenty of kangaroos just lying around the course(wild but not agressive). Go into the rough and you will get to see them up close. They will probably just lay and watch laughing to them selves. Get too close and they will wander a short distance.

I play here regularly and it is a nice golf course. It has reasonably wide generous fairways so can spray the tee shot a bit and not get into too much trouble. Could do with a few more bunkers. Plenty of water to catch your ball. If you have overseas visitors, this is one of the best places to bring them to see kangaroos in the "wild". They are very tame and you can get reasonably close to them - though not too close! Greens are well maintained and green fees are reasonable. The course's only real defense is its length - over 6,100 metres from the back tees.

Put this course on your list for visiting while in Melbourne. With a great little restaurant for afterwards its the perfect place to spend an afternoon.

We had dinner here over the Christmas new year period. The staff were very helpfully and friendly and the food was great! We live locally and will definitely be back. The meals are a good size and very tasty. The chips come in a cute basket, we had squid fish and a Parma and it was really nice, the prices are cheap to about $17-25. Give this place a go!

What an unique place to go to! Not only a wonderful course but hundreds of kangaroos too! What a treat!!
