Not far from several squares and in the middle of great shopping, this interesting corner lends itself to photography and cuteness.

The four houses with ornate corner towers were built in 1608 and after being damaged in 1688 rebuilt between 1689-1692 and its Bay window renewed, probably according to plan of Johann Christoph Sebastianis. Each of the houses are named: "Zu Sankt Petrus" (1691), "Zum Grünen Baum" (1692) and "Hauptwache" (1690, corner House Marktstraße/Plan). Originally it were three-storey houses with wooden upper floor, and at that time two facades. Currently at the street-side a two storey Bay window which is richly decorated and which has a stone lantern-crowning. Its former shape is still visible from the house located at Marktstraße 1 (plastered wood) and Löhrstraße 2. The houses located at Marktstraße 2 and Am Plan 2 were increased with one floor in 1862 and thus changed its appearance. Only the Bay window (without the top floor) of the House Marktstraße 2 is old. The buildings at Am Plan 2 were damaged in 1944 WW II and rebuilt in 1950 in its former shape.

Die vier Türme ragen aus den anderen Häusern besonders heraus. Sie sind reich verziert und machen viel her. Wenn man sich vorstellt, wie hier früher alle Häuser ausgesehen haben müssen und dann sieht, was davon übrig geblieben ist, befällt einem schon viel Traurigkeit.
