national museum and art gallery

这家博物馆位于卡蒂夫老城区市中心，紧邻市政厅，建筑本身就颇具艺术感。博物馆免费开放，展品种类繁多，动植物、瓷器、金银器、绘画、雕塑、现代艺术样样齐全，每个人都可以在这里找到符合自己口味的展馆。令我惊喜的是，在这家名气不大的博物馆里收藏了多幅出自印象派大师莫奈的作品，底层的纪念品商店里也有印有莫奈画作的明信片出售。假如你来到卡蒂夫，别整天呆在海湾，来这里看看，绝对会有收获。

It's free! Very quiet on the weekday morning I visited so felt I had the whole art gallery to myself. Wonderful collection of Impressionist painters, the Monet water lily paintings are worth a visit alone. Very close to the city centre and was able to park easily and cheaply in the street alongside. Good to be able to dip in and out of the galleries if in the city. The shop is well worth a visit too. Friendly staff everywhere.

This is a great museum so much to see and do for all ages. There is no entrance fee, so can visit again and again. It is close to the city center so can do abit of shopping afterwards. Must say a must see attaraction.

Loads to see. You can easily lose a whole day here. Natural history museam downstairs, loads of info on wildlife and plants etc, then go upstairs for art such as paintings throughout history, famous painters work, ceramic arts, modern, glass, jade, you name it all kinds of art, room after room. Free entry.. Brill. Parking only issue. Go early and get parking outside museam. At rear museam parking is £5 all day. But the place is busy so go early to secure a good parking spot.

such a wonderful place to visit. We had a wheelchair user in our party and were struck by the helpfulnes and thoughtfulness of all the staff. Access was really easy and signs very clear. The staff in each area were helpful and informative, but not "in your face". Lovely day. Great restaurant too!

This is such a fantastic building. I've been here for evening events and it is stunning. The museum and art gallery is good and I always learn and enjoy. But it lacks soul and in particular the coffee shop, restraint and shop. Not very customer focused, next to no Welsh Language - come on! This is Wales!!!!

Really really cool museum telling the story of wales from creation, through dinosaurs, humans and to more modern times. Really tactile exhibits too.

Have been to this fabulous museum and art gallery on my last three visits to Cardiff. There is so much to see it would be impossible to cover everything in one visit. The Natural History section is laid out in a chronological order and has plenty of interesting exhibits. Lots to keep children of all ages entertained, notably the dinosaurs and mammoth, with an interactive explorer area at the end. Today, students from Cardiff University were carrying out a Brain Project and hundreds of children were queuing up to participate, which is testament to the popularity of the museum.The Art Gallery isn't huge but exhibits works by many famous artists, including Canaletto, Monet, Renoir, Pissaro, Rodin. A little gem and entrance is free.

Really enjoyed the natural history and the art. So many famous artists displayed. The natural history was very very interesting with great displays, films and exhibits.

Great for adults and fantastic for children. The worlds events are laid out in chronological order which makes for a very interesting walk around. Watch out for dinosaurs and the woolly mammoth.

Lovely art pieces, especially the pottery. There was some incredible glass on display.There was Ann interesting solar display and many families were making the most of the exhibitors.

Fantastic art collection housed in a lovely building, good facilities all round. Good interactive events for children, really good place to spend the day.

So much to see you could spend a week in there.As it was we only had about half a day due to the boss wanting to go around the shops.We will be going back and next time the boss can spend the day shopping and I will spend my day in the Museum
