I loved the Allanwater Brewhouse. My only wish is that they were open later, as I did not arrive until about 10 pm after scoping out some of the spots in Stirling. My original cider choice was almost out, so I was offered a replacement of brambleberry cider and I have to honestly say I don't even remember what my original choice was because the brambleberry was so delicious. The bartender was great and so apologetic for running out of my original selection, she really bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with the outcome. I also sampled a few of their cask beers and was pleasantly surprise at the flavors! I definitely would've had a few pints if I'd had more time. This seemed like a great spot for students - they even have a Collaboration brew with a group from the University called "procrastination." Cheeky, right? The whole experience was very enjoyable and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to try unique beers in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

My Wife, sister and I sampled this pub for the first time.Very quirky inside, nice selection of beers and ciders. This is a very dog friendly place, with free dog biscuits and water laid on. Our Spaniel was a wee bit fussy about the biscuits. My wife and sister had the mulled wine, and I had the 80/-.The mulled wine tasted of cough medicine, my wife and sister enjoyed it, and the 80/- was too cold (almost chilled). The duty barman could not have been more helpful.Don't know if food is served. We will certainly be back at a later date.

Good beers and ciders. Interesting place. Obliging owner. Nice to see a micro brewery doing so well. Dog friendly.

Don't be put off by the access down an unassuming lane and alongside the car park - this is a great wee place selling excellent ales, and with very friendly staff. Tastings available before buying.Bit of a spit & sawdust feel, but that just adds to the charm. Can also watch the brewing process.Didn't have time to stay for the music, unfortunately.

We visited this little brew house on a dark winter night. The candle lit bar added to the great atmosphere and tantalizing aromas. This place is a must if you love beer. We intend to return and spend longer tasting more beers!Simply awesome...

Hidden way from the main street is this lovely brewhouse serving a great selection of beers and there were 12 available on our visit. We really enjoyed the 90/ and the stout. There is also a selection of beers to take away with you.

An unusually furnished establishment but I liked it the moment I walked thru the door...brilliant if you like a cosy, friendly atmosphere and a few pints of excellent home brewed ales.

This wee place in the back of a Main St hotel was a great place to meet up with our Scottish friends. There was a great music group playing that night, the place was packed and we all got into the mood. The beer was good, very interesting selection of micro-brews you are unlikely to fine anywhere else.

Recently visited here. Nice, quirky little place. Best pub in Bridge of Allan for atmosphere and beer/wine. Dog friendly too which is a bonus. Also did one of the tours...good value and knowledgeable staff. Good day.

A cosy, welcoming bar with great interior style. Great range of bottled and tap beers, infused within metres of the bar! The staff were friendly and only to willing to share their passion for the beers. The chilli and mango beers are specialities that I hadn't tasted before, but will be having them again!

My family and i visited the micro-brewery last week as part of our highland tour and had a really great time. Wile the tour portion itself was minimal (very small operation; hence micro brewery) we really enjoyed the company of the two staff working there and the beers themselves. We tasted 6 beers and two ciders all of which were very good though very different from what we were used to. But that was definitely the fun of it, branching out and trying something new. We had Avery nice chat with our tasting guides and left with a few bottles to take home. Definitely worth making a stop if you're in the Stirlingshire area.

Took a little bit of finding, and looked like nothing from the outside. But once inside was something of a gem. An increadbly old rustic beautiful pub.The some beer wont be to everyone liking the chilli beer will not be to everyone liking (it genuinely hot like hot sauce I loved itbut can understand no one esle hating it. )However with a large number of beers are on tap and they offer free taste s so you are bound to find something that you will like. But for someplace to sit and have a wonderful time looking at brewery equitment or board games.

My 3rd visit here , on a tour my son had bought for me , he came as well also my son in law . A gold tour (£24) where we had a meal option and picked the bbq meal when booking. When we arrived there were 2 men already there , then another 3 arrived and I noticed they had silver (£16) tour tickets. That was the group , 8 of us . We tasted our 6 sample beers and they were awful . Like sour water.( I am an ex CAMRA member and know a wee bit about beer ) . The 2 ciders we tasted were drinkable. When it came to our choice of pint 7 opted for the cider 1 for a beer , this tells you how good the beer was . The server said "what your at a brewery and you all want cider " I felt a bit guilty , as my son had brought me here for the beer and changed my mind and tried a beer . A fruit beer which I thought was the best of a bad bunch .Then we were told the meal was stovies , which was promptly dished up , it was Ok to be fair but no bbq meal. The 3 men who came in last got up and left telling me they were " away for some real beer "I asked whether we got a bottle of beer as part of the tour ( was included last time BUT you only got it if you asked ) and was told no . On returning home I checked what their tours now consist of on their website and I can see the server was correct .I have asked them why they charge £8 difference on the tours yet everyone got the same and NOT what they paid for and will update this if they reply. So to sum up £24 gets you 8 wee tastings (say maybe 11/2 pints at most ), a pint of your choice , a plate of stoves and a 15 min brewery tour .My first 2 visits were OK , the beer was fine , but they were groupons so made the cost more reasonable . My son , it turns out paid full whack , the beer was dire , and I'm feeling sorry for him.I don't think anybody in the group will be back.I think if they keep this up they'll go out the game .For the good ?
