We visited here for the first time ever yesterday and will definitely be back. We used our Historic Houses membership cards which gives you free access to the house. We went on a guided tour which I would fully recommend. Our guide, David, was knowledgable and passionate about the house and gave us a full and informative, fun tour. The house is breathtaking and so are the grounds. You could spend a whole day here just looking around the grounds at all the hidden areas and buildings. All of the staff that we came across were friendly, happy and polite and made for a very enjoyable day out.

We visited friends in Castlethorpe, England and they took us to this beautiful manor. It was outstanding! Took lots of photos but did not enter the grounds as it was a bit expensive. If you are ever in the area, go visit here. It will take your breath away!

Fabulous proportions, follies and stunning landscaped surroundings. A must for all who have time to spare passing through the county of Buckingham. Beagles were out on the hill as we drove up, which made our morning.

Teri 1867, Stowe House is located in the middle of the National Trust gardens and is now open until 3pm during the darker winter months. We close a little earlier than the gardens to allow visitors to make their way back to the National Trust entrance. Historic House Association members and those with mobility issues are able to arrange access to the House via Stowe School's private driveway.
