Delightful cafe...resturant....shop! Lots of lovely hand made gifts by local crafts people. We visited for Mother's Day lunch. We sat early but the place filled up very quickly. Very efficient staff, team seemed to work well with everyone chipping in and helping each other out.We pre-ordered our food as requested and were pleasantly surprised. The goats cheese tartlet was just right and not overpowering as previously found with goats cheese at other venues, the bacon and Stilton salad was huge, but again delicious. We all had roasts, very generous portions- many places skimp on the meats on the roast but the chicken was plentiful and mums salmon was half the plate!!! The only thing slightly disappointing was no fruit was mentioned in the description of the Eton mess dessert....traditionally raspberries so dessert eagerly awaited and disappointingly was strawberries which can't eat! Nether-less strawberries picked out and desert was eaten! The outside was lovely, reading other comments here, people suggesting it's run down, dark and gloomy. The animals cages are in shed like buildings but it's shelter and the animals seem perfectly happy or snuggled down, it was a rather cold day! But honestly it's a working farm....so I'm not sure people expected! On leaving we were also lucky enough to see mother hen pushing her very cute fluffy chicks, great end to a lovely visit!!

Went here yesterday primarily to eat because everything is homemade even chips. Prices great. Staff so accommodating. Varied menu. Cream teas to die for. Cottage pie proper home.made. has added bonus of animals for kids to enjoy and feed. Would recommend to all.

Went here with a two year old and was disappointed, very tired looking and overgrown in places, the only good things was the little cafe and farm shop both were good

Went to Doniford Farm mostly for the cafe - had a lovely lunch. Good sized portions for a reasonable price. There was a slight problem with the food but this was dealt with fairly quickly by polite staff. Nice to have a little wander and I echo an earlier comment - it's a working farm; expect it to smell of animals! Free entry too - made a donation as I feel it's great to keep something like this going. Has a lovely community feel to it and some interesting bits and pieces to look at. Really nice to see the place so busy!

We have been here quite a few times well worth a visit for adults and kids of all ages nice selection of animals nice outside seating area by the cafe over looking the sea and what's more its free most weekends through the summer months they hold other events from the car park such as vintage cars and bikes

great place to spend an hour or two, lots of animals, old farm buildings and machinery, a farm shop with good local produce and a lovely cafe. What more can you get for free

My daughter loved it but I felt uncomfortable. The place is so unprofessional, it's actually hard to believe it's real. Animals' enclosures look so dark and depressing. What to say about the supposed kids' play area, oh dear, deflated old tatty bouncy castles, amongst what looks like a building site with dangerous tools. Then open your eyes again the shop/restaurant and it's hard to believe you're still in the same place owned by the same people. Clean, bright and airy. What a confusing place!

Visited this farm park on the way to Minehead, free entry which is very rare these days - good for kids too, well worth a visit.

We spent n enjoyable couple of hours here..Nice selection of animals to see.. Be warned though, this is a working farm so animals are not kept in pretty cages/pens for tourists to come see...We spent quite a while at the meerkat enclosure as they had a number of young meerkats and they are fun to watch. May be a good idea to keep an eye out for feeding time if you have very young children as meerkat food on the day we visited were cute dead chicks! Meerkats no longer seem quite as cute when you've witnessed 2 baby meerkats fighting over a dead chick! We had Sunday lunch in the cafe while we were there. It was a very pleasant meall, exactly what you would expect - meat, veg, etc...We sat near the patio doors and had a nice view if the field containing animals such as cows, llamas, horses. They do not charge for entry to the farm, although there are boxes for donations if you are happy to contribute. The only comment I would make is. That we were going to purchase a few items in their shop but after stood waiting by the till for over 15minutes we put everything down and left without our purchases... That's the only negative comment! All in all a lovely way to spend a few hours.

I live locally and visit the farm quite often, We take friends and relations there when they visit us and they really enjoy the time spent there.

Nice place to stop for lunch with kids, they enjoyed seeing all the farm animals and the food selection was good. There is no entrance fee if you eat in the cafe and even then it's donation only.

Just up from where we were staying so we wanted to pop in. It's free after all. Nice to leave a donation tho. It is small but is lovely with some nice animals. Meerkats entertaining as always

Came here today with my friend and our kids (both aged 12) who played on the bouncy castle and looked at the animals for all of two minutes .. Not really their sort of place , they ended up playing football on the field but that's boys for you ! We went in the shops which were lovely and not to pricey either. Had lunch in the cafe which was wonderful although we did have a slight wait due to it being so busy .... Kids food and adults food were all generous portions , tasted good and were a very reasonable price ....but the cake was the best part , extremely tasty, I think I might come back just for that !

We would have driven past if we hadn't read the reviews on here before going. This really doesn't look much from the road, but the cafe and shop are worth a visit, whilst the animals offer enough to keep the kids happy. We visited twice in a 4 day stay at the holiday camp.
