Plenty of birds to see up close, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, a great opportunity to learn lots of things about birds of prey and their habitat and feeding habits. Great!!

We've lived in West Sussex most of our lives but have only just discovered this bird of prey centre. It's hidden away behind the garden centre and could be so easily missed. As others have said, it is amazing! The owner, staff and volunteers all so obviously share a real affection for the birds they work with and are more than happy to share their vast knowledge with anyone who is interested. There are eighty birds here currently, housed around the perimeter of the flying lawn with easy access for all. We stayed longer than we expected to and were very lucky to see an interesting array of different birds brought out to fly for us. We went home with a better knowledge and understanding of these beautiful birds and some great photos.

Huxleys is a fantastic bird of prey centre. With dedicated staff you really feel involved as soon as you enter. Its actually inside the garden centre, At the back. Admission price is good. Theirs a very small shop/reception area, before you enter the birds. Its quite small walking round like a ring taking in all the birds in the aviaries, The highlight is the display, For a hour you watch the birds in display and you get encouraged and have the opportunity to put on the glove and see them at close quarters. Really incredible opportunity. My experience here has given me a whole new perspective and understanding of birds. Fantastic! Well done x

Great staff! Very informative and friendly, more than willing to introduce the birds to curious guests. Plenty of birds to see, very impressive they are as well. Definitely coming back soon! Only need a couple of hours here (with a "Meet the owl" and a flying exhibition), but it's cheap to get in and worth every penny.

Decided to take my grandson to see the birds and was amazed at how many birds were there. Lovely setting with about 80 birds and in the afternoon we watched a brilliant flying display which lasted about 90 mins ! And had the chance to stroke an owl. Well worth the visit

I wasn't expecting the variety of birds of prey - amazing! And the people in charge were very nice, full of knowledge, keen to talk about the birds. I saw some brought out so you could do a trial "flight" which was good fun, and tiptoed past breeding birds who were nesting. Looks like the gardens would be amazing in high summer, the roses were about to break into bloom and I wishes I'd come a month later.

We only discovered Huxley's by accident but it was well worth the half hour car journey to get there. The Meet the Owl was great with there being a good opportunity to stroke the bird and also ask questions from the very knowledgable owner.Following this was the flying display which lasted an amazing 2 hours and involved some 6 different species. There was also a lot of opportunities for both kids and adults to volunteer and help with the display. All in all a great attraction and for the adults there is the garden centre and shops for some retail therapy.

The people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are very passionate about the place and the Birds of Prey are looked after very well. It is good to see the birds up close and also watch them flying.

Had an experience day at Huxley's on Thursday for a friend's birthday and it was a fabulous day. The hawk walk in the morning, with Denver, was relaxing and great to see the relationship between him and the Huxley team and to have the opportunity to handle him ourselves. Back to base for lunch and meeting the owls, then spent the afternoon flying all sorts of birds and getting to know them. Thoroughly recommended, the team were fun to be with and very inclusive. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely bird of prey centre set within Hilliers Garden Centre. The entry price is really reasonable and the whole centre is immaculate with an obviously dedicated team caring for all the birds. We listened to a lovely owl talk where everyone got to meet and touch the owl and then later on watched a fantastic flying display which lasted from 2.30 - 4pm. The talk was very entertaining with a variety of birds flying. All in all we spent a lovely afternoon here and will certainly return. Hilliers Garden Centre is huge with a cafe, shoe shop and craft shop and we made our afternoon a little longer by having a wander round these facilities too. Well done Huxley's - a great family attraction and good value for money. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

"So", said my wife. "Lets take the grandchildren to Huxleys".That was the start of a most enjoyable experience. We arrived at 11:00 just as they opened. 2 Seniors and three children cost just over £20 which, in hindsight is a very reasonable price. Once in the instructions were simple, if you want to go out (Huxleys is co-located with a Garden Centre which has a number of retail outlets, a café and toilet facilities) just go and let yourself in when you return. There are some 80 Birds of prey to look at of all species. Each bird is known by the staff by name and personality - who would think that two hawks of the same breed could have different personalities! They are extremely well cared for in a really good environment dependant on species and individual needs. At 12:00 there was a talk and a 'touchy feely experience with a tawny owl. Following this we went out and had a picnic lunch. At 2:30 the fly the birds this usually lasts till the last person leaves Again it was a pleasure to see the birds flying and totally stress free - they really wanted to fly. During this display some of the visitors are invited to participate so you can, if you wish get up front and personal with large talons and sharp beaks. Will I go again - definitelyWould I recommend it - YesI would recommend you phone before going - the birds come first and are conditions are not suitable they won't fly.Web Site http://www.flyingfalcons.co.uk/

Huxley's was a good entertaining afternoon out, cheap to get in and plenty to see even if you are not a bird lover, but you will love to see these great birds of prey fly in the arena and surrounding area, great staff a definite return later this year

We loved every minute of it at Huxleys. The helpers there were very informative and had huge respect for the birds that they were responsible for. You could see that all the birds were really well looked after, the cages were nice and clean with plenty of food, water and shelter. We loved the "meet an owl" presentation, Igor is a very impressive owl. We will definitely be coming here again, it is a hidden gem of a place.

Situated at the back of a garden centre, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Arriving after lunch was definitely the right time to get there with a close up experience with an owl following later by a super flying display of various birds. A small set up but well kept and some super birds. There is chance to see them up close and get some great photographs. The volunteers were great and very knowledgeable. Good value for money. There is a café in the garden centre, as well as toilet facilities.
