Visited with family whilst on holiday in Norfolk and had a really enjoyable walk around. My nephew really enjoyed getting up close with some of the animals.Nice and clean environment and fair price £12 each and FREE for under 3's.Some of the food outlets were not open, but as the season kicks in I'm sure they we do as volume of visitors increases.Would recommend as all the family enjoyed passing a few hours away here.

Went with a couple of friends today (monday) and had an awesome time. It got a bit chilly in the afternoon but all the animals were still out to play. It's really nice to see zoo animals well looked after and in big enough enclosures, the staff are so friendly too! big up Andy with his amazing animals show, was really interesting and saw some animals i'd never even heard of before. So many thanks for a great day banham zoo :)

We went to Banham zoo for a family day out and to make the most of a rare day of sunshine! The zoo itself is very tidy and easy to get around and we'll signposted. It has a great range of animals who are obviously well cares for! I would recommend the giraffe house and our favourite where the little prairie dogs, funny little things! Only negative would be that not all the snack huts where open but that was probably because of the time of year. Will definitely return!

We had a lovely day out at Banham zoo. The animals all look well cared for, the amazing animal show was a highlight of our day! Food was reasonably priced and the train was good fun also. Even in the bitter cold we had a great time and definitely look forward to returning. I hope the owner/manager reads this as the guy who runs the animal show (called Steve) was an amazing character who was a pleasure to speak to, so eager to explain about the animals or answer any questions and it is clear he is fantastic at his job - give him a raise!!!

I'd heard there was a Zoo down the road from where we lived in Bury St Edmunds, totally expecting more of a farm with some cows to be Norfolk's answer to a zoo. To my surprise I found it better than Edinburgh Zoo! There's a lot of animals and very informative talks, see the animals getting fed. (The tongues on the giraffes...yuck!) Seen an indoor show (forgetting the name, amazing animals show?) which was very fun, the young man hosting the show was better than the old man we seen second time around. Took a selfie with a very curious Lemur, brilliant that you can get into that enclosure. The whole place seems very open and the animals seem happy. Best Zoo I've been to!

Myself, husband and nearly three year had a really lovely day at this zoo and felt the admission price was really good value. We enjoyed the train ride, the playground and finding the stamps to get a medal. The animals are all beautifully cared for and we all took great pleasure in admiring them. We were also very impressed with the range of animals and how their enclosures achieved the balance of a great natural environment but still being able to be viewed. We saw giraffes, tigers, cheaters, monkeys, zebra, camels, just too many to list. We were also very impressed with the cafe, where we all had a generous lunch with a drink for less than £20- a real bargain and tasty. We also went back later on in the afternoon for tea and cake, again great. We were here for nearly a full day and we didn't even make it to any of the zoo keeper talks. We will definately be returning, thank you.

We took my 4 year old nephew here for the day. We had read reviews and had already visited Colchester zoo so wanted a change. I must admit we visited in mid Feb and therefore expected some things to be closed and not all animals available to see. However in general we found the zoo very run down and compared to Colchester zoo (where we spent a full day) it was rather disappointing. I think it needs to be updated in order for it to be a place you can spend a whole day exploring. FYI the giraffe enclosure is tucked away at the end of the zoo and can quite easily be missed which is a shame! We also found the café very expensive for what it was offering- take a packed lunch!

Would just like to say a huge thankyou to Tanya who took us round on our zoo keeper experience! Was much better than expected! Definately would reccommend - even at this time of year! :)Only down fall on the day were the prices!

We went on 27th January 2015 and it was a great winters day out. All the animals were easy to see and not too much walking. Lovely coffee and cake in the coffee shop. We saw the Kangaroos which my Thai had been longing to see for months. It was well worth the drive.

It is a really nice zoo, my favourite part of the day was a show that they have on which is called something like Amazing Animals and one of the keepers brings out a variety of different animals for the audience to see and they do tricks for him. It was really interesting and fun. Even though it was cold and snowing/ raining majority of the animals were out which is good. Some of the animals weren't on show as they are having refurbishments done to their enclosures. We ate in one of the coffee shops and the food wasn't too dear and was very nice. Would definitely visit again, but in warmer weather!

Second visit to this lovely zoo - first time in the summer an had a fantastic day - but in January ?? Yes I know renovations have to be done but maybe you should lower the price ? No red squirrels no meerkats, lemurs stuck in cages not out and about ( still outside tho ) no seals ,! Bit disappointing ! Have to say tho the amazing animal talk and show was excellent with animals you never see close up. The cage was very good too and very welcome on a freezing cold day. The animals that WERE there all looked in fantastic condition well cared for .So just the price for winter is maybe a little high as everything is not available .
