Visited on a sunday when the local rastro market was in the square ouside, which made the visit more interesting. The ourside is very beautiful, but the stone carved figures seem to have been carved over two time periods, as some seemed very 1960,s with simplestic faces, while others seem older. Unfortuntely as we arrived the church was closing for the day, so only got a brief look inside, which did not seem very inspiring and could not ask anyone about the carvings.

This is one of the only two tourist attractions opened on Monday. Well worth a visit but frustrating as there is a mixture of different add-on's from the 7th century to 12th century when the cathedral was built. If we are to do it again, we would certainly looked at bringing a guidebook and/or pay for the audioguide.

If you love cathedrals this one is another beautiful example, with Lovely stained glass windows and beautiful interior. I could spend hours walking round

The church is beautiful but there is more. They have many antiques from hundreds of years ago on display. The antiques are artwork, statues and religious items. We spent quite a while, they provide a map that leads you through the entire facility. I wish I had gotten the audio tour but I still saw and enjoyed my visit.

My wife and I visited many Cathedrals, Castles, Mansions etc. and this was one of the best. Firstly there were hardly any tourists so it was very quiet and personal. The Cathedral is BIG and there are so many interesting historical artifacts, more than most. We spent a long time in here as there was so much to see. This is one of the best.

Great Cathedral, I was surprised by its size compared to the size of the town. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and the gift shop was closed, bummer.

Fist I should say do not go on a Sunday as the Cathedral is closed. Wonderful chapels. Fantastic artworks. Beautiful stain glass windows. You can also hire a thingy ( see how technical I am) which you listen to, each area is numbered to the talk and gives you a lot of information about that which you are viewing. They have a lovely cloistered garden area.. There is of course the shop and toilet facilities are ther. The front of the cathedral is on a square and there are cafe/small bar situated here.

This place is amazing. For €5 per adult it is excellent value for people who like visiting this sort of place. You can also take photos without flash which some cathedrals don't allow. Inside is even better than the outside. There are so many little chapels and rooms to look at that you can spend an hour in there. It's much. Ginger inside than you think from the main entrance. The streets surrounding it are lovely little cobbled streets that look just like something from an old French film. Made my holiday to Salou a whole lot nicer!

Fantastic building. The setting is lovely and fits in well with the surrounding buildings. It's a great place to grab lunch near or to start a walk around the old streets in an old part of Tarragona. Won't get bored of the views.

Small charge but a very interesting visit with small museum. Not for young children as may get bored very quickly. Nice photo opportunities (no flash photographs). small outside garden area.

Allow yourself some time here as the building is very large. Once inside it is well signed and the walk takes you round all the side chapels and the restful cloister gardens. It is a haven of quiet coolness on a hot day. There is a taped tour you can purchase though I did not do this so can't comment on how useful it would be. The entrance cost is quite moderate ( I think I paid about 3 euros ) and even if you are not religious there are wall paintings, carvings, and other architectural features which are of interest. Once in the area by the cathedral you are very close to some of the other attractions of Tarragona so it is well worth your while to head up there!

Beautiful cathedral set in the lovely old town part of Tarragona. I went on the touristic train which takes you around all the spots, making the trip so much easier. I didn't go into the church but just the view from outside was worth the visit alone

We travelled from Salou by Train to Tarragona to visit the Roman Ruins and afterwards made the Journey by foot (15-20 mins gentle stroll in the summer sun) to the Tarragona Cathedral, Cloister and Diocesan Museum and so glad we took the time to do it. Truly beautiful area with a true "old feel" to it. The Cathedral contains important historical memories and beautiful works of art which have to be viewed to be appreciated. It was a pretty to look at as anywhere in the Vatican City. The Cloister was very similar to that in the Godfather 3 movie and it caught my attention as soon as I looked at it. My Wife and two Girls were taken a back with the beauty of the Building and its immense history dating back to Roman times.I would highly recommend the visit and can assure you that even those of you with little or no religious empathy will still feel humbled by the Architecture itself.

As we were running short on time, the queues to gain entry were too long for us to wait to go in, once again we spent too long wandering all around the outside of the Basilica admiring the architecture, which is splendid, even though you can tell that some restoration has been undertaken, the statues that adorn the front entrance area are especially good.A must see attraction in this city, allow plenty of time though
