The zoo is awesome, lots of animals and a little play area for the kids, the panda twins are extremely cute! The zoo was not crowded and there were no lines. The kids loved the petting zoo and the train.

My granddaughters have a yearly pass and go often. Worth it if you live in Atlanta. Good variety of animals, easy layout, and fun train and carousel. Also, a playground and petting zoo. Go early on weekends for best parking.

The Atlanta Zoo is always wonderful. The animals were out and active. The zoo was full of visitors, but not crowded at all. You can enjoy viewing a wide variety of animals from several different angles. You can bring a picnic and make a day of it. A membership is a great investment for families.

I liked the playground but my kids weren't too interested in the animals. I feel sorry for the animals, especially those like polar bears in the southern heat.

The zoo is located in Grant Park, which is beautiful in and of itself. Anyways, the zoo itself is very pretty and clean. The exhibits are great, and the staff is very nice. This is definitely a family-oriented environment, but for the older, 20-something crowd like myself, it still had a lot to offer. The zoo isn't as large as you might think it'd be, but there was still a great variety of animals to see and photograph. If you come to Atlanta for vacation like I did, I recommend you give this place a shot.

We visited over Labor Day weekend and it was hot at the Atlanta Zoo and that didn't matter. We took out ten year old daughter specifically to see the giant pandas as they are get favorite animal. She was so excited!!! The panda exhibit is better than San Diego's in my opinion. All of the exhibits are wonderful including the gorillas. Atlanta Zoo has something for everyone. I highly recommend it.

Hands down, the best zoo I have ever visited. I could have watched the gorillas for hours! The volunteer staff are very helpful and well educated on their animals. I would definitely visit this zoo again.

The Atlanta Zoo is a learning experience. In general, I am not a fan of viewing captured animals, but the Atlanta Zoo seems to be a safe and happy place for the animals. They live in area that are natural, and seem very well cared for. I really was impressed with the Zoo. I recommend this to everyone. A nice afternoon in Atlanta!

We came at 4pm and the guy at the ticket booth gave us an option to come back next day because most animals were already off their cages because of the cold weather. Since we're only staying short we agreed to still proceed just to at least see the Panda which we enjoyed and the train ride which were pretty much the highlight. Other animals that were still around were kangaroos, some birds and a black sleeping beauty pig. Most other animals that we didn't see can be found on any other local zoo so it's not a big lost. There was an area for a bird show and animal feeding which we should have enjoyed if we were early.

Our tour guide was CARVEL and he did a GREAT job of explaining the animals and many facts that were new to us. It was an interesting and informative visit. This zoo is very involved in research and animal environment enhancement and it shows.

We LOVE the Atlanta zoo - a wonderful assortment of animals from continents around the world. We have watched baby pandas born here and enjoyed the panda cams, the gorilla exhibits are the best I have ever seen and the additional "rides" and interactive offerings at this zoo keep kids of every age engaged along with their parents. We joined the zoo at the end of our first visit and have renewed our membership every year since! A must see for any age!

I was surprised to find out that most of the animals were in sight (something that rarely happens on many zoos I've visited). Some great animals were at the beginning of the park, instead of saved for the last on the final corner. I had a grand time watching the elephants, giraffes, gorillas, lion cubs and the red panda, just to mention a few. The staff on these spots were very kind and answered all of our many questions with a smile. I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

my wife and i brought our grandson and had a ball. the giraffes were the best for us because we could feed them by hand.

Atlanta Zoo is good for a visit if you have half-day to spare in Atlanta. The star of the attraction is definitely the Panda cubs. And the primates ofcourse. They got plenty of rest areas and refreshment shops. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. The walk is a pleasant as they have lot of green cover. I would recommend visiting the zoo if you have kids in the trip or a spare day in Atlanta while being by yourself.
