Five Points is a large multi-use complex. There's a nice library attached. There's also a performing arts center, where theyhold church on Sundays and concerts, events at various times. In the middle is the fitness center. There's a large pool and a kiddie pool. Fairly large range of free weights and stationary weights, cardio equipment. The track is very small (12 laps for a mile, I believe) but adequate. They have a wide range of fitness classes. You can rent towels for 50 cents. I pay $45 a month for a single person membership (the corporate rate). One complaint I've heard - the pool isn't always available. They have high school swim teams, scuba classes, etc. So even though we pay to use the pool, we may not be able to on any given day. Locker rooms could be cleaner, but not bad. Bring your own locks for the lockers. There's a small vendor cart where you can get smoothies, etc.

Five Points currently offers a Fun Splash from 10-1130 on M, W and F for ages 1-5. Cost was $3 for non-members and there's no charge for the adult who must be in the water with the child for the Fun Splash. It's a great way to spend some active time with your child, especially when the weather isn't good. The water is a good temperature, there is a zero depth entry and there are a couple of built-in sprinklers. The kids we've taken there have loved it. I always bring a padlock for the locker but can't remember if they have lockers where you put the quarter in and take the key. I've also seen people put their things under a chair by the pool.We've also held two birthday parties at 5 Points - 1st was a gym party, 2nd was a swim party. Both were very easy and not expensive. The cake they provide is from Trefzgers -- yum! Just note that 5 and unders need to have a parent in the pool with them.

Five points is fun for the whole family! They have a huge lap pool for adults to exercise and swim in, and they also have a area for kids. The kids pool is even heated. The locker rooms are really clean and there is also a separate one for families with children. They also have a basketball court and a loot of excerise equipment. If you are looking for a place to work out, or a place to take the kids to have fun.. this is it.
