As you enter the door you think you're in the wrong place. Very simple set up, but the products are superb. You are able to sample a variety of Vermont cheeses and then maple syrups. All of the cheese are wonderful. From mild cheddars to 10 year aged cheddar. Jalapeño cheddar, horseradish cheddar a few smoked choices. Then 4 maple syrups. The shop has a variety of jams, mustards and spreads that you can also taste. We spend $250. The cheese is wrapped in wax and will last a years. Employees are so friendly. Right next door is a farm. It wasn't open due to the weather. You could see the gorgeous horses running around like little puppies. They're beautiful.

Amazing cheese- but everyone that actually makes the drive to " the farm" is surprised to find an old farmhouse with living room/dining room converted into a shop selling jams, honey...and cheese. This is not a pristine Billings Farm....but the cheese is very good.

We enjoyed our visit to Sugarbush Farm. It was great to be able to sample all the various cheeses and maple syrups and then to be able to bring some back to the UK. Everyone was very helpful and although we did make some purchases, we did not feel pressurised to do so. Well worth the visit.

You enter this place through the cheese distribution area. You are warmly greeted and immediately offered your choices of ten cheeses to taste. This is followed by a sample of four grades of maple syrup. In their farm store all of the above are for sale along with a number of local jams, jellies, honeys and much more. Well worth the visit and picturesque ride to the well marked location. Beautiful horses.

Quality was great, friendly and helpful staff and lovely location. Very well stocked gift shop as well.

it was my first cheese and maple syrup tasting. Loved their jalapeno/cayenne and sage cheese. nice, friendly atmosphere.

If you are looking for a fancy tourist attraction with bright lights and commercial gift shop with many products , then drive on by.If you are looking for a true, 'down home' ,working New England farm then it is a must for a visit.The road to the farm is basic...dirt with many elevated turns. It sets the tone for what you will see. There is an amount of anticipation that you will experience an 'off the beaten path' attraction. Sugarbush Farm provided this.When we entered the building there were family members cutting homemade cheese and waxing for shipment.There was a processing machine for the production of maple syrup that takes place during the sugaring season in the Spring. A detailed video was provided about how maple syrup is made. The video is 'on demand' so you don't have to wait for a time to watch...very informative.The gift shop is rustic and basic.The products for sale were what the farm makes.We left well informed and with farm products that will be used for Christmas gifts and for ourselves.Sugarbush Farm is a taste of New England in it's pure form.

During our visit to the Woodstock area, we decided to replenish our maple syrup supply. We saw this farm both in our AAA tourbook, online (TripAdvisor, etc), and in the local maps. It was a fun stop. If you are not familiar with dirt road travels (yes - in Vermont, you can't get lost - all dirt roads come out somewhere!), it is a fun little drive outside of Woodstock. We stopped on our way back from Quechee. The shop/store is what appears to have been the old farmhouse. It it very traditional Vermont, and the staff is great. We enjoyed a great maple syrup and cheese-tasting the in the first room, and then moved on in the house to buy some of the products in the other rooms. There are also additional exhibits, or areas, to visit there, but we had to move on.

We visited in September so we only got to see them making cheese but the self guided tour of how the syrup was made is pretty cool, too. And after all the taste testing I did in Waterbury I was very excited to try the many kinds of cheese and syrups here as well. Of course, we came home with plenty and have been enjoying them slowly since. Just a simple family farm and it was a nice ending to our day to come here.

The road to get to the farm was uphill and treacherous! Had there been another car coming down the winding road, we would have been in trouble. The tasting room was disgusting and they didn't use gloves. They don't even make the cheese there. You can but the sane cheese for less I. The local towns. The 8 minute video was informative. The trail they suggested we walk, was not marked well and we turned around for fear of deer ticks. In our opinion, not worth the trip. We stayed at a bed and breakfast in Woodstock and they suggested we don't go but we did.

This place makes just about the best Maple Syrup you'll ever have. They also have all kinds of cheeses made from their very own dairy Cows. You can sample the cheeses during a tour of the Farm, and once you get to the store, you'll be sure to buy yourself some to bring home! The store also has Maple flavored candies, cookies and other different grades of Maple Syrup from Dark to Light. This is a great place to visit, off the beaten path. Goats wandering around, everyone smiling. A pretty peaceful place.

This is a cute little farm, up in the mountains of Vermont. It was smaller than I expected but was a good visit. They offer free samples of their cheddar cheese and maple syrup. The lady who helped us was very knowledgeable of everything there, the different cheeses, syrups and how they are all made. And then in the gift shop you could purchase whatever you sampled, plus more. The cheese were AMAZING!!!

Rurally located local farm. Quaint, a little tired in places, but tourism rightly plays second fiddle to farming. Great cheese and maple syrup tasting, without the usual pressure to buy (though we did). Good views, especially in autumn.

It takes some effort to get up to the farm, but it is WELL worth it. At Sugarbush, you'll walk past goats and horses on your way to the tasting building. There, someone will give you samples of all of their cheeses. This stuff is GOOD. I particularly loved the blue cheese (which I normally don't like). They also have maple syrup samples, but they kind of blew thru this tasting so it was too much too fast. There's a second room of samples and then you can pick out which you want to take home, which I highly recommend. We ended up with cheese and maple syrup. One of the highlights of our New England road trip.

trying the cheese and syrup was very good, and everyone was very friendly. It is a bit off course to get to though. But to try so much free and fresh cheese was worth it.
