We loved this cidery! It was incredibly local and the bartender was informative and friendly. It's not necessarily my favorite cider, but it is very drinkable, and the location and setting make it great! We wish we had more time because we would have gone back. I wish them all the success as they continue to grow!

Very nice people, very nice cider. Just a perfect place to go after a day saying in Stowe!Love their traditional and semi sweet cider. We bought some to bring back home.

My friends and I stopped here after a long day of skiing to check out the place as we had heard it was worth the trip. It's a little bit off the beaten path but totally worth taking a bit of time to drop in. We sampled 3 different hard cider flavors, and even got some to take home with us. The company was great- the people running it were so friendly and easy going. The other people around the bar were a pleasure to swap stories with. I really hope that Stowe Cider continues to be successful as I absolutely plan on returning on my next trip to Stowe!

My wife tried the Stowe Cider while we were having lunch at Rimrock's. Adele, our waitress, recommended that we stop by Stowe Cider and see Mary for a tasting. We stopped in the next day and were glad were did. Mary had the Traditional Cider, the Ginger Cider and the Raspberry Cider on tap that day. All were very good. Much better than the sugary, sweet store-bought hard ciders. My wife took home a growler of the traditional and my daughter took home the raspberry. Stowe Cider is owned and operated by Mary and her husband. After telling us all about Stowe Cider, Mary then spent about 10 minutes giving my younger daughter some snow boarding tips.We will definitely be back on our next trip to Stowe and will keep an eye on their website to see if their distribution grows.

Stopped here around 4:30 on New Year's Eve. The small building had about 7 happy customers tasting each cider. Super friendly owner very knowledgable and happy to see customers stopping in. For $5 you get to try their 3 ciders. I want to mention he is very generous with his pours so $5 is a great deal! Great start up spot. I hope they continue their success.

You pass by so it's no effort to call in & see what it's all about, which is basically a young couple (Mary & Stefen) holding down multiple jobs whilst trying to build a business that they are both clearly very passionate about. The greeting couldn't have been warmer & the conversation entertaining & pleasant. We tried their three draft ciders, but the only one I personally liked was the traditional blend, which I found a tad drier & crisper than the somewhat sweet European ciders. The other two were a mix of peppers & a cinnamon and nutmeg Xmas blend. In fairness, Lady M preferred the other two blends, so everyone was happy. We bought a couple of bottles to take with us, but it is noteworthy that they have a reuse policy on their bottles which gives a cheaper price on refills. Overall, we thought the cost of their cider was relatively expensive as our tasting plus two pint bottles of traditional cider came to $27 (& we are moving on so cannot benefit from discounted refills) but you cannot put a price on meeting such a lovely lady and we both hope that they succeed in this enterprise, so would definitely call again if we are up this way. It was lovely chatting to Mary, and we suggest you also call and pass some time with her.

Lured to this little roadside cider mill, we were greeted warmly on a Saturday afternoon by an energetic barkeep. What was once an old time convenience store had been converted into a small tasting bar with three taps set to serve out samples of the works. Much less cloyingly sweet than your average bottle cider, this was clean and crisp tasting not just carbonated hard apple juice. They make a nice drink, General's Reserve being the strongest and carrying through the nice flavor of being set to ripen in re-used Jim Beam whiskey barrels. Nice experience, chatting & engaging host, good product. We left with a growler and had a delightful time visiting this up and comer. If you like unassuming tastings this is an excellent destination.

Green Mountain Visitor Center recommended the stop. The handcrafted small batch hard cider facility opened in late 2013. The tastings of 4 ciders is $5. Mary Windler (part-owner) was our hostess. She was very friendly and provided information about the company and the ciders being brewed. The facility is interesting and the cider tasting is worth a stop. We felt very welcome. The stop was not on our radar.
