Beautiful place to take a walk. They have several trails, some hills but none too strenuous. Will occasionally see deer wandering in the woods.

Great place for a hike, walk by a pond or just a place to go clear your mind. Also great for picture taking and observing nature, it's a true asset to the Dayton community and a wonderful place to visit anytime of the year

This place speaks to nature lovers. I went in July, there were lots of beautiful flowers, and the landscaping was very nice. There was only like 1 butterfly in their butterfly house, but lots of other things to look at. Take your camera picture taking freaks!

We've visited this park as a family fairly regularly. We have also had family pictures taken there. The hiking is ok nothing too hard. Most of it is fairly level and gravel. Some paths are even paved. It is usually pretty busy but once you get out into the wooded area it quiets down. I'm not sure most people even know there are paths out that far.

We have walked in the Arboretum for many years. Management has used levy money wisely & with many improvements in recent years. The woodland trails offer several options, the longest is 1.8 miles. All have moderate elevation & are well maintained. A good pair of hiking shoes makes this a fun place to hike.Plenty of open spaces & water make this a great location for outdoor weddings. It is a safe place for children to be outdoors.Very adequate free off-street parking.

Cox Arboretum is an amazing asset to our region of Ohio. It provides many different outdoor pleasures and education opportunities - as well as wonderful volunteer opportunities for those who are so inclined. The programs for school children; the butterfly house (native butterflies): the tower; the Maimon Memorial Garden in the Edible Landscape; and so much more. Come and see for yourself.

The 189 acres that constitute Cox Arboretum provide a variety of natural experiences that include scenic ponds, a prairie, woodland trails, streams, an edible landscape garden and gazebo, a children's maze, and much more. Programs offered here through the MetroParks administration include events for toddlers through adult. This is a venue not to be missed.

The gardens are fun to walk through. We especially enjoyed the Edible Landscape Garden. We spent a couple of hours walking around and enjoying the different types of gardens, trails, Butterfly House, ponds, unique trees, and observation tower. What a treasure the city of Dayton has in its metropark system!

Beautiful, peaceful setting with several walking paths along with ponds, gardens and a butterfly house. They also offer educational programs and some cozy, inviting rental spaces for banquets and events.

This park is absolutely stunning! Beatiful trees, and "edible garden", and the most indredible tree house you've ever seen. Great walking paths and ponds, too. Perfect place for family, wedding, or senior pictures. And the dog that is "on staff" is just adorable!

Very nice gardens to take a walk. There are lots of things to do here. My kids especially liked the hedge maze (small kids) and the observation tower (older kids) where you can get a good view. I hope to get back someday to experience more. There is a butterfly house in the summer. Bring a picnic lunch!

Great for hiking, running, and photography. Great way to spend an afternoon just taking in the sites. There are many trails that venture off the main gardens if you like to hike. Wear comfy shoes. Staff is doing incredible work with the garden design and upkeep. Keep an eye out for Zipp, the border collie. Check out the Tree Tower, great views!

This park has very nice views and some lovely walks. There is a seasonal butterfly house. There is also a tall observation tower that is surprisingly easy to walk up! Beautifully designed and constructed. A wedding was setting up in the Edible Garden the Saturday we visited. I'm sure this place is pretty in any season. Worth a visit!

What a gem to have 10 minutes from my house. Placid pools with a dazzling variety of horticultural specimens from around the world.Plan on visiting the Monkey House, a five story tower that looms above the woods and provides a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The Butterly House is a must see in summer. Walk the meadow for a feel of typical midwest forest meadow.Very nice facility with restrooms and a small gift shop staffed with volunteers. Ample parking and literally minutes away from refreshment and all sorts of dining. There are easy to walk paved paths for people with limited mobility and lots of benches around the facility. Even consider bringing a picnic lunch and sitting on a bench.Don't miss Zip, the border collie who's job it is to keep the geese away from the ponds.

This is a very beautiful park. We have been there several times to take prom photos of our kids, and have seen several weddings there as well. The park is actually the place where my husband proposed 25 years ago.We also enjoy taking walks at the park, enjoying the pond, gazebo, flowers, etc.If you have never been there, you should stop by and check it out.
