My husband, eight-year-old son, and I spent about half a day here. The price is very reasonable, $8/adult, $5/children and free parking. You are also allowed to bring in outside food and drink for a picnic, and I would recommend to do so. We went early and stayed to early afternoon. The animals were extremely active as they were all being fed. We got to see the bobcat eat his breakfast. They had placed several dead mice throughout his enclosure. We also got to see the black bears eat fruit, lettuce, and nuts. They have a baby elephant, rhino, and several baby chimpanzees. The chimpanzees were great to watch as they were actively playing. There is a large wild exhibit with hyenas, African wild dogs, and wolfs, as well as, foxes. They have a large kids area, complete with playgrounds, goat feeding, bird feeding, carousel, and other fun kid appropriate stuff. There is an elephant show, sea lion show (additional charge), and stingray feeding when in season. They have zoo encounters with the zookeepers. The zoo has a safari ride out on the water that is seasonal (wasn't opened for us) and a train ride.I would definitely recommend this zoo. Great value. Fairly large enclosures with happy animals. The zoo is nicely laid out with planned walking paths to help lead you effectively to all the animals. It is also close to i35 if you're driving though the area and want to take a 2-4 hour break. It is right next to science museum, fire museum, and Remington Park, as well as, fairly close to 45th Infantry Museum.

The zoo is very spread out and lots of walking, but well worth it. The animals enclosures are like the wild which makes for healthy, happy animals. We really enjoyed our visit and everyone on staff was very nice and friendly.

My family has had season passes to the Oklahoma City Zoo for years and we have enjoyed it every time we have visited. A number of years ago the local citizens passed a tax hike that designated money to go to the zoo and the stewards have done an excellent job of steadily improving the zoo. i remember the zoo from 50 years ago when the animals were kept in small concrete cages that were typical of the day. Not so anymore. Now the zoo is a world class environment for both the animals and visitors. Because we have a season pass we are able to get a discount at other zoos across the nation and we use it regularly. I am proud to say that "our" zoo compares favorably to most zoos we have visited. In fact I can't name one that was better. From playgrounds for the youngest visitors to interactive exhibits the zoo is definitely worth the price of admission.

The zoo at Okc is a overall pretty good place to go for a good clean family fun day. Most of us that grew up around here have been to the zoo as kids and remember what it was like back then. Well things have changed. As a native Oklahoman I love to learn about our state and the Oklahoma attraction is pretty cool. But before I plan a trip to the zoo I always call ahead to see what they have going on. You may want to reschedule your trip. One year they did a walk with dinosaurs, we had to wait a couple of days before we originally wanted to go but it was well worth the wait. Also call ahead and see what exhibits are open and what ones are closed. You also can rent strollers and wheelchairs and a couple of other things but I suggest you bring your own. While you are packing for your day make sure to include plenty of drinks for your family and even something for lunch. We always take a ice chest and a wagon or stroller. This will make things easier on you and your wallet. And always make sure and watch the weather. If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma give it 5 minutes and it will change.

We took our nephews here while my sister spent some time with my mother in the hospital, we were impressed with all the informative signs and also the treasure hunts that are online for this ZOO, the boys had a great time, and even though it was 62 degrees, it was a great day for the weather and visit to the Zoo.

I have been to several zoos and this one is the best in my opinion for land animals. Not a great aquatic exhibit, but the elephant enclosure is so awesome that you won't even miss the orcas!

great place for young kids! I love the place for my nephews. I would totally take my family. It has ducks to take out on a pond.

We have a 2 year old and have had a zoo pass since he was just a few months old. We love the fact the zoo is actually spread out. Even on busy days, it keeps it from feeling over crowded. They have an amazing splash pad kids area. Being Oklahoma with crazy weather patterns, there are many times we have been where some of our favorite animals are not out and about. That can be a little disappointing. Many of the in park extras can be quite costly, specifically in large groups. Being able to bring your own food and beverages in the park is very nice, especially for those on a budget. Overall, my family loves this zoo and will continue to be season holders for a while.

OKC Zoo is very up to date & modern, although there are continual upgrades made. i've been going to this zoo for over 40 years & i would highly recommend visitors (& home folk) take the time to go enjoy the animals.

I can't say enough wonderful things about our zoo. My husband and I love to take our daughter. I think every weekend from April to October we took our daughter to the zoo. She's now 1 years old and now that she is aware of her surroundings she LOVES going to the zoo. The monkeys and elephants are her favorite. Any chance we get to go to the zoo we are on it. We went the weekend Rupert was born and the weekend after Achara was born. I want my daughter to have a love for animals and I can see she is falling in love with them from what she sees at our zoo. The zoo has always been very clean and the staff have been amazing. After the baby elephant was born one of the zoo staff were out answering questions and observing the elephants outside and he took the time to stand there and tell us about the baby and all of the other elephants. It was so nice and I loved that he took time to share some exciting and interesting information about the elephants. The OKC has done a lot of improvements since I was a child and they are continuing to add more and new things and I am looking forward to bringing my daughter each year. I love that the OKC Zoo has an instagram where they share pictures of the animals. Its nice to see how much love they give. I took my daughter to Tatu's 40th birthday party at the zoo and had a blast. I saw on Valentine's Day how they had enrichment activities and snacks for the animals. I love that the employees care so much about the animals. Thanks for giving OKC a wonderful zoo! I would recommend this zoo for anyone who hasn't been, it's incredible.

No matter your age, the OKC Zoo is a great experience and it is a shame if you do not take advantage of the this attraction.

While not one of the best zoos we've visited, it is nice. There are some really wonderful exhibits like the Oklahoma Trails, the Lorikeets, and the elephant exhibit. The Chidren's Zoo is quite nice as well. Many things are very old and outdated, but they are working to make improvements. They have a very nice eating place, The Canopy. The food is good and very reasonable.

This is a really nice zoo for a city that is not that large. They have updated the exhibits and they are impressive

This is no question one of the top ten zoos in the United States. The train takes you through the entire zoo if you are not able to walk it. Excellent, excellent. Great for families
