The park itself was beautiful and a very tranquil place. The performer was the whole reason for the visit to the area. However, drinking really should not be allowed in the lower area near the stage. Many children were getting crushed by the adults, adults were fighting and it just made for an unpleasant experience. Also, if all of this shows are as big as this one, much more security is needed to attempt to control the crowd. It was fun because of who was on the stage, but the overall experience leaves a very bad memory.

Large park setting with stage and river. Beautiful flowered baskets hang from light posts. Nice sidewalk to two piers.

Very pretty park with a great view of the Willamette River in downtown Albany. Grab a sandwich and have a picnic lunch!!

This park has a lovely walking trail and access to the river. All summer there are music and art events in the park. There is a play area and plent of space for an event.

I am a runner and found the park to be convenient access and peaceful experience running there. I also ran into friendly people while there. It was also very clean and a nice layout..

Nice park within walking distance of historic Albany, shops and restaurants. Great for family picnics (tables and a gazebo), weddings, receptions, etc., during the summer. It's right on a river-front walking/biking trail. During the summer season of River Rhythms you can hear free (donation) concerts on Thursday evenings and "Mondays in Monteith" gives another musical perspective. The gazebo can be reserved through the Albany Parks and Recreation department.

Beautiful city park by the Willamette River in Albany. Can depart from here on a concrete sidewalk for a long walk along the river. There are some piers you can walk out on to get closer and look at the river. The park itself is beautifully manicured and kept by the city. The Albany Senior Center is on the eastern edge. LIngering transients do mar the experience some, but just ignore them and enjoy the clean smelling air and the beautiful vistas.

The Albany Parks and Rec do a great job of maintaining this park and providing many family-style activities - especially in the summer. July and August offer the "Mondays at Monteith" concerts, featuring local musical talent such as the Willamette Valley Concert Band and the Albany Swing Band, and "River Rhythms", which brings many talented acts from across the nation to Albany for the pleasure of local fans. It's a great location, even if all you want is pretty spot for a picnic or walking path on which to jog or walk your dog.

The park was close to the down town and after lunch in a former gas station restaurant (loafers station) the park was relaxing and clean, nice restrooms, nearby river with cement walks to it, ducks and geese to feed, and a nesting ofsprey to watch nesting on top of a powerline pole.

Great place for free outdoor music during the summer. Great for families.

During the months of July and August, Albany hosts a weekly concert in this park. Mostly a grassy hill where people sit on the ground or in lawn chairs. Beautiful setting and a fun family experience.

Nice and quite until it's concert time- then look out. Great sounds and wild times. A variety of music offered on Thursday evenings through out the summer.

Monteith Park is best experienced in the summer time for the Thursday night River Rythems concert series. There are some nice walking paths and docks along the river but it can get a little sketchy at times.

Thursday night concerts are Free through part of the summer. Thousands enjoying the atmosphere makes it great even when the music is not your favourite. A basket is passed at half-time break, but folks give less than a dollar each by far. What a shame. So they charge concessionairess a lot to sell food. Expensive, but not more than football games and such. I figure it helps bring more concerts the following year. Montieth Park by the beautiful Willamette River. Agreat place for family and friends. And a chance to make more friends too!
