One of the many on the wine trail. The drive up is pleasant. So full for the visit and no seating about. Staff was somewhat timely to acknowledge upon entering on a busy day. A little disorganized to whom was helping who. It was whatever staff tending to who lever needed assistance.Wine tasting was explained. A small fee unless you purchase. Five tastings. First was one of the whites. Definitely not one to my senses. Smell was a bit offsetting. The taste wasn't great. Dry but flavor was there. Second was a red. Nothing earth shattering. Fast forward. Something for most people here, these wines didn't really do it for me. Not sure if result of smelling first one. We didn't pick up anything. Good: ease to find parking. Bad: nothing to my taste. Smell of one can be a turn off. Staff attentiveness is suspect. Might try again. Improbable though.

We enjoyed our visit at Lone Buffalo tasting room. A very nice selection of wines - mostly reds - which is to our liking. The wife of the wine master was very knowledgeable about the wines. $10 tasting fee which is waived if you buy. Some native American jewelry on sale.

We have been wine club members at Lone Buffalo for about 6 months, and we are very happy. Their wines are smooth - not overly alcoholic but flavorful. The staff is friendly and the owners (Phil, Jill and Jocelyn) are great. We just went to a wine club BBQ where they had Bison hot dogs and bison chili, along with great wines. It is definitely worth the drive if you live in and around Auburn or Sacramento!

Stopped by this winery by chance on fathers day. The owner was fantastic-gave a great story about each vintage. Loved the wines, picked up two bottles:)
