We decided to take the ferry to Angel Island from Tiburon instead of SF to avoid the traffic, and it's a faster trip.Departed on the first ferry at 10am, and returned on the last at 3:30pm. You pay as you board. Cash line on the right, credit cards on the left. We saw seals as we departed. Their operation is pretty efficient. Just make sure you get back on the same ferry and keep your return ticket!

The ferry to Angel Island from Tiburon is very quick, ran timely and had sufficient arrivals and departure times for a short or long visit to Angel Island. Highly recommend visiting Angel Island from Tiburon instead of SF or Sausalito.

We took the Angel Island ferry from Tiburon on a Sunday, and it was packed! Unseasonably warm weather in the Bay Area got all these people out of their homes to go for a picnic, I guess! Anyway, it was about a 15 minute ride. The people were courteous and everyone was ready to have a good time. I was ready with my camera, and the views did not disappoint. The Golden Gate Bridge stood graceful and beautiful in the distance, as well as the Richmond bridge (?) on the opposite side. $15 per person for a round trip fare was reasonable. It was a great ride!

A short and easy trip to Angel Island. I believe the Captain is the first Lady Captain of a vessel this size that ferries. The trip is pleasant and offers picture taking opportunities. Once on Angel Island, don't put that camera away. If you forgot food there is a place there to get a simple lunch. Plenty of places to Picnic.

Fun trip from Tiburon over to Angel Island. Beautiful day and no too crowded. Always nice to be out on the water. A stop at Sam's afterwards is always good.

We have seen Fleetweek for many years and from many different locations. This year we decided to try Tiburon Ferry for the airshow. At $60 per ticket, we were disappointed with the view. Walking the G-G would have even given better views. Try the ferry for a trip to Angel Island because the price is reasonable, but our advice is to save your money and skip the ferry experience during Fleetweek.

A friend that had been to SF before took us out on this ferry and I'm so glad we did! Coming out from the pier, we immediately got a fantastic look at Alcatraz right alongside the island. On the opposite side, the Golden Gate bridge loomed with it's towers in the clouds. Once we got closer to Tiburon, it was striking how calm and quiet things started to become.

With warm weather in the Sacramento Valley, we escaped to Angel Island for the day. The ferry ride from Tiburon is always nice and the cost is reasonable. There is lots of parking and it's an easy walk to the terminal.

really quick ride over to the island. Nice, family owned operation, nothing fancy, just gets you there. I guess $13.50 round trip is reasonable includes entrance to park, but once you're there, you either hike or spend more on a tour and entrance to the museum.

Must-do if visiting Tiburon. Angel Island is a wonderful way to spend a half-day in paradise. The ferry ride offers different views of the bridges, Alcatraz and the city. Take the tram once on the island - check Groupon for possible discounts. The tram stops at an incredible vista for that money shot of the Golden Gate. Very romantic spot to visit with your favorite person.

We had looked forward to our ride over to Angel Island from Tiburon and were not disappointed. We ate an early breakfast and got in line early for the ferry. The ride over was very enjoyable and scenic. It was a beautiful sunny day. The island is full of history and still has some of the original buildings. There are resident/employees living on the Island. We took the Angel Island Tram tour around the island. It was a very interesting tour. There is a cafe where you can eat or buy snacks or bring your own picnic. There is a small sandy beach and swimming/splashing area for cooling off. Also several picnic tables under large shade trees. It is a nice outing for any size group and kids would certainly enjoy the tram ride, beach and water and adults would enjoy the history with all of it. We highly recommend it while in the San Francisco area.

Just the smells of all the beautiful trees and flowers made the trip worth it! It's history is rich as is its beauty. A must see for history buffs.
