Great condition. No matter your handicap - suggest white teesCourse card looks short - penalties in waiting. Best scoring opportunity - no more than 2-3 holes with a driverWell stocked and pleasant staff in pro-shop

Be sure and practice your putting on the practice green before heading out to the course!!! And be aware that Hole No. 1 is a SEVERE dogleg left when you get down the hill.

This course was beautiful. Definitely a "wow" factor with the 1st and 9th tee hills. The course was in great condition, even in this drought. Fairways were well maintained and so were the greens. Clean carts and nice people too. Stay for good eats at Longboard's!

Though the course was in decent shape considering the drought, it did not have the "Wow Factor" I was looking for. The first tee takes your breath away but after that it is flat until you get to No 9. The back nine was alright but after playing The Dragon at Nakoma, Plumas Pines was an average round. I agree with a review that the homes are too close to the fairways and it does not make for a relaxing round especially if hitting the ball straight is not your biggest asset. Even though I would recommend this course.

My husband and I visited the course on May 24th. Brandon made sure we had a tee time that fit our needs as we were coming over from Reno, he also made our dinner reservations for us to dine that evening at Longboards. The course was in top form, the greens were beautiful and the difficulty level was challenging at some times ( I am a beginner ) but my husband is an avid golfer and has played here before. I absolutely loved the back 9- the views were amazing and the surrounding neighbors waved often and even cheered me on - it was a long putt that made me look like I knew what I was doing. We enjoyed every aspect of this stay and play trip. The carts were clean and new, the club house was very nice and we purchased some pretty neat things to bring back to Nevada. There was a bar cart on the 6th hole- the amenities were all terrific. I can't say enough positive things about this trip. We will be back again- and we did tell all of our golfing buddies that a big trip is in need before fall. Our dining experience was above anything we could ever imagine. It was the perfect way to celebrate 13 years of marriage. Thank you very much for taking such great care to ensure that our time there was memorable. Roger and Nicole Evans

Plumas Pines is in great shape. A relatively short course. Draw back is OB's and houses too close to fairways. Only need to hit driver on a few holes. Fun course to play.

Situated against the Plumas National Forest and the Middle Fork of the Feather River (also near Graeagle Meadows), Plumas Pines captured a position on Golf Magazine’s “Best Places to Play” list in 1998-1999. The walk to the driving range gives a hint of what’s in store with a handsome view of the first four holes of this Homer Flint course, designed in 1980.Compared to other courses in the area (Graeagle Meadows, Nakoma Golf Resort, Whitehawk Ranch, for example), Plumas Pines is lined with the most houses. But it also has one of the best restaurants in Longboard's an integrated and popular feature of the course facility.

Really pretty course, not too difficult but plenty of places to get in trouble. Try t his course in the Fall at the end of the season - foliage is gorgeous and if you play in the afternoon, you may have the course to yourselves.
