They are very strict and actually discourage people from having fun by always telling people how to act over their silly PA system. I suppose it is okay for small children and such but I would just never go back

Bear Bear has pretty much only man-made snow so skiing isn't great but for a really fun family day of sledding Snow Valley is definitely the best of the sledding places. The 2 runs are long with plastic sleds included in the entry price. You can either hike up the hill or ride a chair lift to the top of the run.The staff is friendly and conscienceous and the runs are great without being scary to the little ones. We were 3 adults with an 11 and 4 year old and had a wonderful day there.

This review is solely dedicated to their so called Leaning Center and not the entire resort. First, The ski: If your children are advance skier, do not send them to this Learning Center. Neither half day nor the full day package would improve their skill. Second, The Snowboard: Some of the coaches are good but some are super lazy. So lazy that my child got to watch tv in their break room for a good 45 minutes during their supposedly 10 minutes break. Sigh......Their reasoning for the long break was that it was too cold outside since the snow was falling and made everything sticky. Unfortunately thousands of other skier and snowboarder outside their break room disagreed with them and happily playing. Bottom line of this review: if you want a day care/camp alike activity for your children during snowy day, send them to this learning center. If you want your kids to learn skiing or snowboarding, send them and your money else where.

$35 on a "holiday" (Monday between Christmas and New Years). Sled runs are packed, although the ski lifts have very short lines. 1/2 hour to 45 minute waiting time between runs. Unacceptable for $35. At 1pm they were still selling sledding tickets to people, despite the long lines. All they care about is money. Go down the road and ride the inner tubes instead for $12 / hour. Kids will be tired in two hours and you will save yourself a day of aggravation.

Good skiing, nice staff, well run. Nice one day in and out. Great place for beginning and intermediate skiers.

Spent 3 days in the Lake Arrowhead are recently. My granddaughter and friend wanted to go sledding. It had just snowed the previous night, so we drove from Lake Arrowhead to a sledding and tubing area just west of the Snow Valley ski runs. Price is $12 for 2 hours and they provide the tubes. No one really checks on the time, so they stayed over 3 hours and no additional charge. If staying in Lake Arrowhead or Running Springs this saves an extra 30 minute drive into Big Bear City and it is an easy drive from L.A.. or Orange County to reach this tubing park.

We have been coming here for many years and I couldn't imagine a christmas without it. Now that I have grandson's, they are going to enjoy this little tradition.

Drove up at round 10AM. There was a fresh coat of snow. The air smelled declicious, like pine trees. There was awsome slopes for play. It started snowing at round 1PM. We decided to drive down. Be careful with weather conditions when visiting. If snow storm is too big, you will not be allowed to come down and you wil have to wait till storm is over. We go every year. Awsome! We have taken family and friends and they love it.

I work on a television show that recently filmed at the ski resort. The crew had a fantastic time working at the property. I must say that the entire staff that worked with our film crew was fantastic and went the extra mile to make our location work go as smooth as possible. The entire staff was outgoing, friendly, and very helpful. I wish all locations that we film at could be this accommodating. I cant wait until next season and come back and do some skiing with my family.

We had decided to take our daughter, son-in-law and 7 year old grandson for a short skiing holiday over President's Day weekend, staying at Lake Arrowhead and skiing at Snow Valley. With the worst snow record for years, we did not expect much, but were pleasantly surprised by the efforts made to provide a few runs with man made snow. All this suited the 7 year old and his 72 year old grandfather! Perhaps not so much the grandson's parents, but they seemed to enjoy the 3 generation exercise. All the staff were most helpful and friendly, and the weather was beautiful, so Granny was able to sun herself in comfort at the bottom of the slopes. One point to note - if you are going to hire equipment, get it at Blauers, in Running Springs (almost the last shop, going from Lake Arrowhead towards Snow Valley), as their service is excellent and their prices almost half of those charged at Snow Valley.

First time visiting this ski resort. So Cal was really lacking in rain and snow..but thank goodness they had been making snow. Lacked the beauty of snow packed hills but they did have 3 runs open. Lots of fun...great adventure program for the little ones...ask for Spencer..he was awesome with our 6 year old sons snowboarding lessons. Hubby had wide open runs as a new snowboarder. Employees very friendly and helpful... especially Jeff...very upbeat and friendly guy...really seems to love What he does....you'll know him when you meet him at the top of the lifts! Overall great place...will definitely come back again...praying for huge rain storm for all you so Cal peeps!

Great fun for the entire family. Very organized with very helpful staff. Loved all the conveniences. The only suggestion I would make is to bring your own food or at least snacks and water, food is very expensive.

I visited Snow Valley and was really impressed by the service. The people who helped me get settled with a lift ticket and ski rentals were very friendly and helpful and everyone I interacted with on the mountain was as well. I was very pleased with the service from everyone all day.

This place makes for a quick one day ski trip. I've grown tired of making the entire trip up the mountain to snow summit and big bear due to the fact that angelenos do not know how to drive in rain also are bad drivers on mountain roads. So this place makes for a nice compromise. The runs here are a great place to learn how to ski. Honestly, compared to major resorts in the tahoe and utah area the whole mountain would be rated intermediate at best. There are usually lift ticket deals to be found with some fast food chain.

Perfect setting to introduce kids to snow boarding. Instructors Misty and Lisa are awesome! Guarantee success. Staff friendly and helpful.
