What a neat place to walk around! They have these cute shops with knickknacks and unique souvenirs. There's no shortage of bear woodcarvings in this area. There's also plenty of restaurants to choose from. Very family and pet friendly!

It is all decked out during the holidays complete with Santa and Mrs Clause (and no line like at the malls). We took Christmas card pictures under the Giant Christmas tree. And a wonderful amenity is the giant firepits they have through out the village to warm up while you are browsing.

We loved walking around all the shops, checking out shops on Village and Pine Knot, as well as being able to see the water from the lake at the end of Pine Knot. We went the day they had their Christmas tree lighting and Santa visit right after Thanksgiving, which made it extra festive. (However, this place needs a lot more public restrooms. Only two stalls were working when we were there in the large public parking lot!) The lights are so pretty. It's a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. We enjoyed the quirky shops and places that featured local artists. YOU MUST visit the photography studios. So awesome. It's fun to visit at different times of day so you can see the shops in the daytime as well as light up at night.

Good for walking around and light shopping. We drove through on a nice crisp fall day and ate at one of the local restaurants.

A mix of restaurants and eateries, galleries & souvenir shops. Alpine architecture and nice landscaping.

Loved the flowers and the fire pits to cuddle and stay warm by. Loved the many lights and and benches to rest on outside many shops. This is a couple of hours to relax and buy gifts for yourself or others.

Didn't really find anything of interest to me but if you like shopping for t-shirts and tchotchkes and consider grazing burgers or BBQ from one place and ice cream or candy from another to be entertainment, this may be for you. It's hard to believe there are only a couple of restaurants with any view. Most of the outdoor seating has sidewalk or parking lot views and could be anywhere.

Be sure to stop by the Christmas Adventure and pay a visit to Ashley (the owner) she is amazing and offers great prices.. She has some of the most unique items in her shop..

A definite tourist attraction with lots of trendy restaurants and boutique type shops. However, you can see that the weak economy and the drought are taking their toll from the number of closed and failing locations. Still, we enjoyed wandering through the shops and browsing.

We like the expanded village. I can't say we bought very much, but it wasn't for lack of trying. We just couldn't find what we were looking for. That said, it's always fun to browse.

Nice flowers and interesting shops, but only spent 5 minutes looking around. Lady in the Visitor centre was very helpful printing out coupons for us.

The Village is a really cool spot to go walking. There are little shops of antiques, leather goods, ice cream, etc. it is very laid back and charming. Several food spots with everything from Indian, to Italian, to Steaks. Spend an hour or two cruising around.

Quaint little Village is the hub of foot traffic, shopping and entertainment in Big Bear Lake. Many small shops to stroll at your leisure. Selection and quality of merchandise however is rather tired and appears old and in need of refreshing. Wide range of restaurants and ethnic flavors.

If you're looking for souvenirs than this is where you want to be. Almost every other store is a gift shop. There's also a few antique stores, some art galleries, candy shops, gelato, several restaurants, a few bars, a movie theater and stores with just random knick knacks. There's plenty of places to park your car. I think the high light of it all was the scenery. I guess they recently did some work on the area so everything looks brand new. The plants are all well maintained and there's lots of colorful trees. The architecture of the buildings is really nice to see. They installed a lot of benches and seating areas, some even have fire pits. It's definitely got that cozy alpine village feel. We where here during the day, so I can't say what the night life is like, but I imagine it gets pretty lively. My only complaint is that it's rather small. We got through all the stores in a couple of hours. I think they should expand a little more. Also there's a Jack in the box right smack dab in the middle that seems really out of place, to me anyways.
