Back a number of years ago, my wife and I found this little gem. What a georgeous spot.We sampled and purchased the Bin 2007 and boy was it ever an awesome wine. Too bade we're Canadian and it is hard to get this wine back into Canada so we only bought 3 bottles. One we drank in Escondido and brought 2 back. Just drank one about a month ago. Incredible for sure.On this trip we tried to hit a grand slam again and although the wine was very good, it was not the 2007 Bin for sure. Nonetheless, the wine and ambience are very good. It is a must stop on your winery tours.

I had purchased a tour and wine tasting of the winery through Groupon. Unfortunately when I tried to book our tour they were booked up for the days we were there. We were going home at the end of the week and our Groupon would be wasted. The woman I talked to on the phone told me she would ask the tour guide if he minded adding two more people to his tour group. He agreed, so we were able to attend a tour and wine tasting the following day. We were charged an additional $20 gratuity since they made room for us. We were surprised when we arrived in Temecula that Miramonte is one of around 50 wineries in that immediate area! Miramonte is perched on top of a hill and resembles a beautiful Italian villa . It overlooks rolling hills and valleys of vineyards and fields, with mountains in the distance. It was absolutely breathtaking!they have a lovely patio overlooking the view that is reserved for wine club members. If you belong to their wine club you get a free glass of wine to drink out on the patio. If I lived close by and not in Ohio I would be a frequent visitor! Our tour guide was Leonard, a former Marine. He mDe the tour entertaining as well as informative. We actually learned quite a bit about wine making, and greatly enjoyed the wine samples and food pairings. I would have loved to buy some wine, but since taking bottles of wine on a plane is forbidden now, we didn't purchase any. They do ship wine out of state however.be.ieve Leonard stated that the shipping was $15 which is very reasonable. The wine was pricier than what we usually purchase however, around $30-60 depending on the kind. I loved the tour and the view, and will visit again if we get to that area again. If you want to go on the tour, I would suggest making your reservations far enough in advance so you don't have to pay extra to be added at the last minute.

got lured in by a groupon, not surprising they needed it. never got around to having the "VIP tour", actually never even found out what would be in the tour , as they claimed to be "fully booked" for weeks in advance. Instead, the only offer was to settle for a regular tasing. Granted, we were approached by a server right away, yet the service lacked experience to say the least. NO spit buckets in sight; we were reprimanded for trying to pour off the wines we didn't care for. the tastings are over 1 oz, i'd say closer to 2. Which would be fine, if you're on tour, however if you and your DD are both tasting, beware, this is over the regular tasting amount, and frankly I am surprised they are not regulated. Overall, yes they have a selection of both whites and reds and even 1 rose (off dry, not bad for patio wine), the overwhelming decisions from my party was that the quality and complexity of the wines are lacking, thus I am surprised to learn that this is one of the better wineries of Temecula, leaving me to wonder what the rest are like... yuck! the whites are nothing to write home about, the reds... the "opulente" is quite nice, however not for the price point offered. and don't even get me started on the "sangrias", clearly tasting like they were mixed with "Boones" (yes, reminiscence of my young adulthood), the server refused to "reveal" what actually constitutes the drink which I find rather appalling as this seems to be a respectable winery.Pro's: the outdoor seating areas are quite nice, both in shade and partial shade. My recommendation would be to find a wine you can stand and grab a glass/bottle to share on their patio.

We visited in April and were fortunate to see an early blooming of the vines. Took the wine tasting tour and learned a lot from our tour guide. The wine and cheese pairings were well explained and the grounds are enchanting.

Our experience at the Miramonte Winery was my favorite part of our San Diego trip. We booked th VIP Winery Tour and Tasting Experience For Twoe wine tasting experience using a Groupon and this was a great value. I loved that the tour was limited to 10 people and we ended up with a great group plus our guide Leo was the best. I learned so much about the difference between Southern and Northern California wine and I also tried wines I would never think to try. My favorite part was after touring and tasting so many wines we all sat down at a table and had more wine and paired it different foods. Leo was very knowledgeable and he was so attentive to everyone in the group and no question was too much. He actually enjoyed them which was great because my husband had a long list of them. If they offered dinner here I would have stayed even longer! There were others from the area and they agreed this was one of the best tastings in the area. If I lived on the West Coast I would have joined the Wine Club. We purchased several bottles of wine and I can't wait for the rest to arrive so that I can host my own tasting :) We can't wait to visit again.

This was our first stop for wine tastings on Labor Day weekend. I had purchased Groupons for four tastings (6 samples each) so the price was much better. The pours were generous, so there was sharing also and thus we each got to try more varieties. There were varieties I was not familiar with but they were all very good. The highlight were the falcons brought inside, one of my favorite pictures from this trip! Staff were knowledgeable and a pleasure to converse with.

This is a lovely winery in Temecula perched atop of a hill with nice views of the valley. I enjoy sitting on the patio and enjoying a refreshing glass of red or white sangria. The wines here are varietals that are not very familiar - but are still good. Great, friendly staff. I look forward to coming here when I'm visiting Temecula.

The setting exceeded my expectation for comfort and scenery. Indoor tasting area is smaller, warmer atmosphere than I expected. Outdoor space very attractive with comfortable seating options and nice views. Romantic setting for couples. We enjoyed sipping very nice reds. Next time I will make time for a tour. Recommend not coming hungry. At least in the evening, the food selection was very limited - and staff was relatively unaccommodating. You found the amount of pita lacking on that $18 Mediterranean platter - lots of hummus, burrata and tapenade yet to be eaten? Sorry we cannot give more pita. That was strange.

I've been there quite a few times and love it more each time! The live entertainment in the evening is amazing and the crowd is mature and fun! I've also had the opportunity to experience their wine tour and tasting! I finally joined the Wine Club and look forward to their wine selections! If there was anything I could recommend to improve the winery it would be to serve appetizers other than cheese and cold cut boards. It would also be nice if they could stay open until at least 11:00 PM, maybe even midnight!

We took the winery tour that is offered by Miramonte Winery through Groupon. It is a very nice location close to town and very easy to get too off of Highway 15. It is a small winery that specializes in creating smooth, easy to drink, white and red wines. The tour that we took allowed us to go the grape processing operation as well as the barrel storage area. During the informative tour, our guide Sal, supplied us with samples of different wines and various food pairings. Sal was very knowledgeable and explained the various processes involved in converting the grape into the very drinkable wine we were being served. The site sits atop a hill with a great view of the valley and at the end of the tour we sat at the veranda overlooking the valley and sampled more wine paired with appetizers. We sampled a total of 13 wines and found several to be above average. The winery has had wines in the top 100 wines of wine spectators annual review, so they do know wine. The winery has also created a fabulous sangria. I agree with Sal when he called it "a party in a bottle". Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended for people looking for a slow and relaxed wine tasting without feeling rushed. .

My wife and I took the winery tour led by Leonard. Our guide was knowledgeable and witty. We learned more here than we have ever learned in all of our travels to Napa. They have the best sangria.

There are not many spots in Temecula wine country that are open after 5 or 6, so Miramonte is a great find. They have a nice patio with a view that is enjoyable both during the day and at night. My favorite time to go is on a Friday or Saturday night, when they have live music. It's great to get a bottle and a cheese platter and enjoy the warm summer night.

My wife and I were in San Diego for a week and after we had exhausted the sites of interest we decided to see what wineries we could find (if any) in southern California. We went on-line and discovered a site where you could get discounts and coupons for food and wine at many Temecula wineries. We had previously visited Sonoma & Napa (which is wonderful if you have never been - you need to go) so we were curious to see what can be grown in such a dry climate. We were pleasantly surprised. I read on-line that Temecula didn't have much in the way of wineries ten years ago - but that has changed - dramatically. We visited a few wineries including Callaway which is also very nice. It is BIG and their wine selection is immense. We enjoyed it but wanted to see more so we drove down the road and up to the Miramonte Winery. It is definitely more of a boutique winery - their selection is not on the industrial scale, but the quality of some of their reds was wonderful. We didn't leave or visit any other wineries that day. We were really blessed to have Nisreen - a delightfully warm and friendly server/guide who helped us with the wine tasting. Nisreen had a wealth of information and insight on the wine, the area it grows in and its production as well as the food you can pair with it. We liked the wine so much we joined the wine club! It was reasonable and flexible for our needs. After finishing the tasting we took a glass of Sangria mixed with sparking wine (outstanding) out to the beautiful well shaded patio. It featured ample water misting devices located above the lounge areas to keep the customers cool on a hot afternoon. We wanted to stay later but needed to return to SD for the evening. I am sorry to say we have thousands of miles between us and Temecula, but if you ever are looking for something else to do while visiting SD - drive an hour south and visit the many wineries in the area. Be sure to stop in and visit Miramonte - ask for Nisreen. She will be a great host and make your visit most enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I stopped by this winery on our way back from SD. I really wanted to take my boyfriend here because I had ordered his birthday present (wine bottle) from this winery last year. This place is definitely beautiful! There's great views to so many other wineries around the area. The service was not so great, there's many people wine tasting and not enough employees. The price was a bit higher than other wineries, I paid $17 for 6 tastings. Some of the wines on the tasting menu count for two tasting which I find ridiculous! I would definitely go try other wineries before coming back to this one, their vineyards and winery are very beautiful but they can definitely improve their service.
