We made a return visit to Bainbridge on a Friday hoping to visit a couple of wineries, only to discover that many only have open tasting hours on weekends. We decided to give Perennial a call, just in case. Mike, the owner, answered and said he'd be happy to have us come in for a tasting. As we drove up onto the property, we saw a guy trimming weeds and joked that it might be the guy we talked to on the phone. Sure enough, when we got to the tasting room, a pickup pulls up behind us, and out steps Mike, the owner. As other reviews have stated, this guy literally does it all.He gave us a tour of the property and some interesting history of wine-making on the island before taking us in for a tasting of several wines, which are definitely worth the trip. If you enjoy unique wines with character made by a man who truly loves what he does, look no further. Mike (and Perennial Vintners) is the real deal.

We stopped unplanned, on our way across Bainbridge Island. Mike has done a great job with his wines. The previous reviews are dead on, not much I can add except we feel lucky to have chanced upon Perennial Vintners. Nothing like hearing about the wines from the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. He is not far from the ferry terminal on Bainbridge Island. We plan to visit again and stock up for another Ferry System journey through the islands.

We went to visit Perennial Vintners on the day before Valentine's day and wanted to get off to an early start because we had a lot planned. This winery opens at 10am on Sundays so we thought we'd give it a try. The friendly owner greeted us at 9:45 (we made it there earlier than expected) and gave us a very nice, informative tour of the winery, complete with the history of his property and the neighboring wineries that he works with. He was liberal with the wine tasting and had us try four different kinds of wine. The Frambelle raspberry dessert wine was awesome of you like a sweet wine that isn't overpowering. This is a small business owner who has some unique products and is in business because he is passionate about what he does.

This is a small-business run company, but you still get good treatment and good wine at an affordable cost. The owner takes you around the vineyard (weather permitting) and tells you about the history of his vineyard as well as the vineyards in the vicinity. Then, you get to taste several of the wines, some which are unique to his vineyard - he's the only one who grows those particular grapes in this area. Great experience. Would recommend.
