Natural beauty, mink, beaver, fish, clear water, quiet, clean, serene, pristine...let's keep it that way!

We stayed late October. We spent quite a bit of time watching the salmon run up the river to spawn. I'v seen that on TV many times but never saw it first hand. We loved it. The river was running pretty strong but was very clean and clear.

This river meaners through the Methow and adds a very pleasing visual effect to the landscape. We love this area!

Such a beautiful river. Deer nearby. Eagle flew right down the river in search of food. Wonderful memories.

We did what we thought would be a little family inner-tubing trip with some friends and maybe not the best with kids. We went on a day when the high was 77 degrees (not the best) and the sun hid behind clouds the ENTIRE time we were on the river. Took a couple of hours and we were expecting an hour top (oops). Put in just before the Methodist Church and pulled out at the park before Twisp (I think). It was fun, a little shallow in parts, we had to pick up the tubes and walk in some areas, REALLY cold for my kids. They were ages 6 & 10 and were both freezing. Definitely something we will do again only when it's 90 plus degrees out. :)

Viewing and walking-along were terrific. The fishing was slow for me that morning, but it's not all about catching the fish but rather catching the scene and the moment. NICE place!

Our kids were camping at the Methow Tents/Rolling Huts, which is right on the river. We got to play in the river with them and watch them fish. Very peaceful, many deer walking around the grounds and drinking from the river. Just beautiful, worth the trip.

Always a great bet for fly fishing, rafting and we even did some gold panning.A little further down by Carlton there are large pools to swim in and sandy beaches to lay on.

Really, what more could you ask for? The Methow is a beautiful river winding through a wonderful valley. Rafting, fly fishing, playing, whatever you like to do with water you can do here.

I've never reviewed a river before...but what the heck. My husband and I sure enjoyed relaxing in our camp chairs in the Methow to cool off during the Winthrop R&B Festival in July 2013. It was pretty cold to actually swim in the river (for me, anyway) but we saw plenty of others swimming, inner-tubing, kayaking, etc. Good times!

Rod of Griff's Fly Fishing was awesome as he gave my husband, teenage daughter, and me our first-ever fly fishing lesson. We loved it, along with the natural beauty of the river and surroundings!

This area has been a family favorite since I was a child. If you are a lover of natural mountain scenery, quaint towns, hiking, fishing, hunting, relaxing by a babbling stream. . . . this is an area not to be passed by.

If you love river rafting , fishing, or just sitting listening to the river go by...this is the place. You can raft the river yourself, or with a guided group. Wear a helmut , as it can get rough. And dont forget your cooler!! It's great to see the hawks, eagles and all the old cars that line the riverbank. Summer and early fall are the best times.Or take your fishing rod and waders ( water is chilly) and enjoy your day !!!

The Methow, Twisp, and Fall rivers are all really cool. The Twist river road goes up to 400 feet, to a campground called roads end. Beautiful.
