kennedy dog park

We have taken our dogs to this park several times and are new to this one but love it so far. There are two separated, fenced areas: one for larger dogs and an area for smaller dogs. We like that even though there is no grass to speak of, it's more sand than dirt so on wet days it doesn't get so muddy. There is a lot of space and some areas with large rock barriers to break it up a bit. There is a shelter in the larger area with shade cover, benches and water bowls. There is no running water to fill up the bowls though so you have to bring your own water as well as your own poop bags as there is no dispenser for bags. In case your forget your bags, people usually tie old plastic shopping bags on the fence at the entrance. They have port-a-potty on site but it's a bit sketchy and I haven't actually needed to use it yet. The parking lot fills up quickly on busy days so you can park on the side of the road leading to the park. Overall nicer than some of the parks around...mostly because of the not so muddy aspect.
