Tour guide David was very helpful and friendly. The home is very well kept as is the grounds around the home. Very peaceful. 2nd time visiting and looking forward to a 3rd visit.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Benjamin Harrison Home. There were many more artifacts there than I expected, including a letter signed by Abraham Lincoln that we got to see. The docents are very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts about Benjamin Harrison and his family. I want to go back in the spring when the peony garden will be in bloom and also to spend more time in the nice herb garden on the grounds. Tip: if you're a AAA member, you can save a couple of dollars on admission with your card.

Lovely home to tour , filled with period furniture and pieces from another time. Every time I have been we have had a great guide. I've been 4 times and see and learn something new each time.

Try to go there when there is a tour. Otherwise it is just another old house, but with a docent all the little details get pointed out and you get a good overview of the time period.

We have been here a few times. Most recently was in 2014 on Presidents Day. This is a special day when the actors come out. We had the pleasure to meet "Mrs. Benjamin Harrison" during our visit. This is restored to the days when President Harrison would have lived here. It appears "comfortably lived in" and is displayed as if a family still lives here. The tour guides know all kinds of little tidbits one might not expect in a normal tour and the information shared is so much fun. The tour is short enough to keep elementary aged children interested and long enough and with knowledgeable docents to be very educational.I didn't know that much about this president until visiting. He was quite a fascinating man. In addition, there are special events throughout the year (it may be free on Presidents Day), one of which is an ice cream social (period) on July 4. It's also one of the sites for welcoming new citizens on July 4.This is well and accurately restored and quite educational and entertaining. Questions are always welcome!

a beautiful home, so well restored. Kept in pristine condition. I have visited many historic homes, and I think this one had more of the original furnishings than any other. Our docent was awesome and could even answer questions (not just rattle off a memorized script). There is an elevator to take you up to the 2nd and 3rd floors if you need it, but you have to ask. Loved all the old family photographs. Tour takes about an hour and a half, but it goes by quick!

My friend and I really enjoyed visiting here in 2012. They had great tour guides and we enjoyed refreshing our history knowledge.

My 8th-grade daughter and I visited for something to do. I enjoy visiting presidential sites and had only been to the Harrison home when I was in elementary school. If you go, be certain to get the gentleman that has been doing the tours for years. He loves his job and it makes all the difference in the enjoyment factor. My daughter even enjoyed it!I would recommend...especially if you live in the Indianapolis area.

I'm not much of a history buff, but my aunt wanted to visit this historical landmark, so we did. There's some wonderful history captured in this home. Well worth the time and money.

I went with my sons 2nd grade class and was amazed. It's really well run and informative. The kids lived it too and payed attention. I hear it's beautiful at Christmas too!

Benjamin Harrison was the grandson of a President and is not the subject of a lot of media or historic attention. His home is very nice and they have great tour guides to explain the home and the life of Benjamin Harrison. This is worth a stop for anyone interested in US history or old homes

I have always loved the Benjamin Harrison Home. It is in such perfect condition, 80% of the artifacts are original, and an amazing victorian mansion. My recent tour (I havent visited in a few years) was great. The interior is so beautiful, and the 3rd floor ballroom like usual has interesting exhibits. I am very pleased at the new reconstruction of the carriage house, with a great womens sufferage movement exhibit. There were 2 bus tours here of retired teachers, one from Texas, which I am pleased to see coming here. But as the reviews show, they have lots of school trips there, but it seems the guides still ask questions to adults, which I found quite annoying and useless. Also there were these two little kids on our tour that kept touching things, and the mom didn't stop them which also annoyed me. But I always love the home and will continue to regularly visit. If you are visiting Indianapolis, you must visit this.

I accompanied my son's fourth grade class on a tour to the Harrison Home today, an incredibly beautiful home full of history and stories. Our tour guide was well prepared with lots of interesting facts. I can't wait to return on my own to see more.

Indianapolis is fortunate to have a former President as a resident and his home is a museum within itself loaded with interesting history. It has been maintained in pristine condition and is a must see.

Went with my daughters 4th grade class and I am embarrassed to say that even though I have lived here my whole life this was my first trip. I enjoyed it so much and plan to go back without the 90 extra 4th graders.
