When we go for a random drive in the country, this is where we land... it's so peaceful and has plenty of sights and beautiful scenery. On the occasions that we have been there it wasn't too crowded even though you see other people, they are not keeping you from enjoying the great outdoors. Love it there!

They have a nice trail & scenery. They have many fun activities that are usually free or die a donation.

Majestic Beauty.... Truly feel like you are apart of the history... One of Beloit's hidden treasures and the walking trail is a plus!

I have been to this park a couple of times in the past couple of months. It's a beautiful place....for families, weddings, photography and picnics. The park is very well maintained and quite large for walks and to explore.

Wonderful area history in a beautiful natural setting. Historic buildings on Raccoon Creek. Buildings only on weekends. But still a nice place to get away to.

Visit it while there was the Heritage day. Lot of old crafts and activities to see. Situated in lovely sourandings. The Mill in it self is very interesting to see, especially when one has the opertunity to see it in working condition. The dam with it's fish ladder is very butifull. A lovely spot for picnic.

Went to see this after reading about it. It is a cute area with Mill pond and restored grist Mill. There was a Wedding going on here and it was a lovely site for such. lovely pond and some interesting pictures in the the building that was former home of the Mill family,

My husband and I came here on Monday, June 9, as part of our vacation. While the main buildings were closed, only open on weekends, we enjoyed walking around and viewing the serenity of the area! Being that it was dusk, it was a beautiful place to be as the sun set. There is ample parking and plenty of picnic areas for those wishing to do so. The drive to this park is also scenic and very nice homes along the way. Along with the mill, there is also a covered bridge, waterway, modern-version outhouse, a cooperage and a vintage barn along with other things to see. I just wish it had been open during the week!

This park took a while to get to, but was well worth the drive through the country. The buildings, were not opened (Only on Weekends through the summer) but were well taken care of. My wife and I had a nice quiet and relaxing time just walking the grounds and taking pictures of the structures, spillway, flowers and other things that sparked our interest. Glad we stopped and rejuvenated from the hustle and bustle of highway and city driving. Don't pass this park up, even if it's a week day like when we visited.

Stopped here on our way to New Glarus, WI. Although the mill (and all the other buildings) were closed, the park was open. I had a nice hike (all by myself) around in the fresh snow and got some good photos of the old buildings and farm/sawmill equipment. There is a nice lake, covered bridge and dam. The mill does not have a exposed wheel but still worth the stop.

This stop is worth your time. Stop by on a Sunday afternoon, during the summer, an see the mill running. Take time to walk through the park and around the pond. Check out the fish ladder to see if you can spot a fish climbing it. Also there is a board walk at the north end of the park for a short nature hike.

Was part of a tour we had with the Rolls-Royce Owners Club. Everyone was really interested in seeing this mill work. If you are into mechanical things, this is a great place to learn how they coupled everything with water power.A great place to take kids (as well as grown-ups) to show how life was in the 1800s. Had an excellent tour and explanations of many facets of the mill.

Spent an Autumn day touring this historical site. The tour guide was very interesting and the grounds were beautiful. If you visit Beloit be sure not to miss this beautiful spot!

If you are in the area, this is a great family destination. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons (except in Winter) they have interesting tours of the old mill. In Sept they have Heritage Sunday - full of fun old-time things to do and see - like having the kids dig up potatoes out of the heritage garden (and they get to take them home!) and horse-drawn wagon rides. The grounds are so beautiful and relaxing, and now they even have a very nice hiking trail that loops around next to the pond! My son caught his first fish on a new platform on the pond! It's absolutely beautiful out there! There is a donation for the mill tours, but otherwise it's all free!

This spot is such a great getaway for relaxing, picnicking, walking, fishing, reading etc. It is also a great place for family pictures. We have also done prom photos there. The covered bridge overlooking the dam and fish ladder is the best spot. The working mill is open on weekends in the summer and they have other events worth looking into. New paths to walk on into the trees and along the creek. Go! There are a couple Geocaches there too.
