Excellent learning center. Took the cub scouts and they extremely enjoy the museum along with the adults. Employees were very polite and took time to talk to the scouts.

This was a stop for our visit to Scranton and we enjoyed it very much.we got a tour of the downstairs Museum. It has some interesting artifacts and displays of Marine Corp history. It was all displayed and organized well.If you like military stuff as I do then this place is for you. After our tour we went upstairs and had a few beers with the Commandant and a few of the locals. If you plan to visit be sure to call first and make sure that someone is there to show you around. The Hospitality was Great and next time I come back for a visit to Steamtown this place is on my list.We Loved it!!

A must see if visiting the Scranton area. Amazing dioramas, a collection of artifacts dating to the beginning of the Marine Corps. Annual events such as St. Patrick's Day after the parade Ham & Cabbage, spaghetti dinner, venison dinner and the Father and Son Breakfast held annually on Father's Day, a moving Flag Retirement Ceremony in June, and many more The bar is open Fridays and the hall is available for rental for private functions. The grounds are big and beautiful nestled in a wooded setting with plenty of parking.

Neat to see the museum in the basement. Make sure you can get down to see everything.

We love this place: new and old Marines gather here to exchange stories, build community, share a drink and build a very interesting museum on the history of the Marine Corps.I learned about the story of local WWII hero Gino Merli (the town of Peckville, PA named a street after him). When we left, I looked at the building and lo, it's WPA built (1936 or 1937).
