The museum was small but nice. The people working there were friendly. Be sure to take the trolley ride, it is the highlight of the visit.

The museum itself is nice, kinda small, but nice overall. The real deal here is the trolley ride, which is very pretty and fun.

This is an Excellent addition to the Steamtown museum and exhibits. One price gets you both experiences.

We visited this museum with a family member who has long been interested in trolley technology, and is quite knowledgeable on the subject. The museum itself had many interesting exhibits, but the high point was the 60-minute excursion on a restored trolley. This was a more authentic excursion than most of this type, actually running along an original route. The conductor was an excellent guide. I highly recommentd both the museum and the excursion.

While you're at Steamtown, don't forget to go to the other end of the parking lot and see the trolley car museum! It's worth it for sure. It's got a somewhat small collection, certainly in comparison to the trains just across the way, but it's got a great history of the evolution of trolley cars in general and their service in Scranton in particular.

This site is not very big. There are some nice trolleys to see. There is a film, however it does not have captions, which is unfortunate because it looked very interesting, and I have a hearing disability. The trolleys weren't runninbg on the day that we visited. Try to visit when they are running. Their web site gives you the info on the trolleys. Probably 1-2 hours is enough time. You can visit this site and Steamtown (across the parking lot) easily in one day. Plenty of free parking.

We enjoyed the trolley ride and to learn a bit of history. Worth the money and time. It was a short ride but it was neat. The views were nice and it was a fun way to take a step back in time for about an hour. Museum is small and quaint but to see a few pieces of history being saved was cool. Next time we would like to do the train ride.

Interesting and fun ride on an 82 year old trolley. Learned quite a bit about the history of trolleys and had a good time. Trolley staff was wonderful.

Nice museum with lots of historical pieces an engineer would find extremely interesting but not no much young children or those who like keeping up with the kardashians. The trolley ride is the highlight of the experience - prepare to sweat a little bit in the hot summer months until the train gets moving.

Not really geared to younger kids (4-7yrs) but my two grandkids enjoyed it. Not as easy to find, look for Steamtown signs.

I've previously taken a trolley ride in the winter Xmas season and wanted to experience the summer ride. It was a lot of fun for my kids. At the turnaround point, you get out and see the museum and where they fix their cars. The ride packs a nice little punch through the wooded areas of Scranton and moosic.

Visit Steamtown which shares the parking lot then go to the Trolley museum. Make sure you ride the trolley. It takes about an hour and it takes you to the New York Yankees triple A affiliate stadium. There is also a trolley barn restoring another trolley. As for the museum,it's small and has very little to see. If they don't offer the trolley ride don't pay to go in, there isn't much for the price of admission. Since Scranton had the first electric trolleys it was known a Electric City. I didn't know that.

There is a nice little museum on the trolley and electric history of the Electric City (Scranton). There are several trolleys that you can actually get up in an explore. There is also a nice kids play place for younger children. Additionally, there is a nice gift shop with lots of books for folks who are interested in the city of the city and trains. It also sits right next to the Steamtown National History Site and train museum. If you are stopping, go ahead and take the old trolly ride. It mostly goes through the woods surrounding the city, but it is an enjoyable ride and experience.

We used a Groupon deal to purchase to the Trolley Museum. We have been to nearby Steamtown, but never to the Trolley Museum. The Museum is clean and has a nice amount of trolley related artifacts. The children's section is fun for little ones, but could use a little updating perhaps including a little section related to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood would be nice. The ride was the high point of the trip. A 50 minute ride near natural beauty, a one mile long tunnel, as well as through Scranton. It was a much better than ride than at the train station. My vote if visiting Steamtown area is to do the trolley ride over the train trip!
