This is a beautiful theater built during the great depression and one of the reasons Milton Hershey kept his town from feeling the depression. He commissioned it to be built, along with several other buildings in Hershey, keeping citizens employed despite the tough times. It has been kept up really well. It's beautiful and parking is easy. It's a great place to see Broadway Musical tours, musical acts, etc. The staff is friendly and it's really cool to see such a gem in such a small town. Love it there! Also, pre-show dinner at The Hershey Grill!

The Hershey Theatre is a restored historic building in downtown Hershey Pennsylvania and should have been updated for the expectations of a 21st century theater-going crowd. For $82, the seats were cramped just like an economy airline flight, and I was unfortunately seated next to someone who literally spilled out of a very narrow seat into my own. There is one ADA compliant bathroom on the main floor, and it is woefully inadequate for the number of patrons attending any event. To use the other restrooms requires a descent from the street level down 35 steps, which an elderly person will never be able to navigate. Getting to the mezzanine is also a 30 to 40 step process, no elevator. I'm surprised local codes and ADA compliance requirements did not apply to this building, but one of the staff told me I should expect this kind of amenity with an historic building. Instead, I'll attend the theater somewhere else!

We went to the Hershey Theatre last night to see I Love Lucy the Musical. It was an outstanding show with wonderful performers. However, the theatre was the star of the night. What a gorgeous theatre. The architecture elements were truly beautiful. This is a gem of a theatre and the folks in Hershey should be very proud. One suggestion, please enlarge and update the bathrooms. Otherwise I had no complaints.

This is a gorgeous theater that is well worth a trip to see not only a show but the lovely venue. That said, it is a historic building, so do expect to be seated close together and to have someone's head in front of you.

The Hershey Theater always has great shows. I even had wine in a sippy cup. It was better than no drinks in the theater.

The architecture is amazing. An historic building. Saw the musical Elf. All the seats, enen high up, had great acoustics and god views.

I have watched several shows here and have always had a good experience. The best part is the free parking and you don't have to walk a lot to get into the theatre.

I love historical structures and architecture, so I really wanted to see this building. But when I got there, I was able to see the lobby/reception area, which was amazing. But the lady in the ticket booth told me to leave in a very mean tone. The reason I dont give it a really bad review is because later on when I was visiting the Derry Presbyterian Church, that same lady was there, and apologized and walked a good distance to get me a brochure on the building, and said they have to be stern because many people dont listen. I would have loved to see the symphony here, but they werent playing while I was there. See a performance, no use trying to visit.

We went to see Sesame Street live, it was so fun and such a great show. Building and bathrooms were clean, just wish the bathroom had a changing table in it. Would absolutely see another show here again!!

The Hershey Theatre is one of the best looking theatres in PA. Stepping inside the ceiling is just breath taking, you almost feel royal. The inner lobby has gold, GOLD on the ceiling! Everything, from the lobbies to the staircase, even the bathrooms makes you feel like you are in a palace. Every time I went, the parking lot across the street was free, which is always welcome in today's world. The views are excellent and with the beauty of the theatre, I would suggest arriving early to look around both in the lobbies and the theatre itself. Warning to all ticket byers: the only way to avoid to a charge a surcharge fee to each ticket is to go to the theatre box office itself. If you buy from Giant Center or any other outlet, you will charged a surcharge fee. So if ever in Hershey buying tickets, if the theatre is on your list, buy from the theatre box office and not from Giant Center. Went to see the Nutcracker with my Sister-in-law on Sunday. This was my first ever visit and I was very impressed. We were in the second row and we could see everything. The only thing is if there is an orchestra, sometimes your view is blocked by the Conductor, so check where you are sitting especially if you have a child with you.The theater itself is beautiful. Depending where you park, to get out of the lot will take some time but they do manage it well.

We've seen "Joseph and the Technicolor Coat" here and really enjoyed it. If I rated Joseph, it would get 4 stars. We just saw "Elf" last night and left at the intermission. Granted it's truly the screenwriter's fault for using inappropriate language as well as feeling the need to add sexual innuendos, Hershey's director could have filtered some of this out as there were several young families there. I'm only assuming this, but I think most families were expecting a "cleaner" show. Unfortunately the need to keep up with dumbing down society was apparent in this screenwriter's script which chose to include words such as "b*&%," "h*&^" and "friggin" (trying to keep clean as TripAdvisor doesn't allow profanity, good to know!). I'm sure there was more in the 2nd half, but it wasn't worth staying as our four girls (ages 9-14) all agreed they didn't want to stay and listen to the cursing. My nine yr. old put it plain and simple, "Do they really need to curse? It's Elf! I'd rather watch the movie at home." My girls have been to plenty of plays not only in PA but other states, and this is the first time we ever walked out. A good example is we recently went to "Video Games Live" in Allentown, which we were a little hesitant to take the girls knowing there were going to be plenty of adult gamers there and profanities would possibly be floating around...I don't recall hearing any swearing during the show and my girls truly enjoyed that performance.I do plan to see other shows at the Hershey Theater, but I'll first check ALL reviews on Ticket Master in regards to whether the show is truly family friendly.

This is so beautiful. I felt like I was in this special theatre just for me. It was a good size-- farthest row is like 150 yards from the stage. I felt like I could see the musicians facial expressions and it was just lovely. The ushers were great, and the bathrooms were clean. A little tight with elbow room, we were in mid balcony front row so we had plenty of feet space! The usher even dealt with rude older adults, which I was thankful. And the parking was free.. and so close to the Park! Go there in the same day!

We came to Hershey from the Philly area to see the Mannheim Steamroller concert on 11/30 and I was very impressed. The building is absolutely beautiful and historic! They had plenty of people helping with tickets and seating and things moved quickly. As with most older theaters, seats are a little close together, so elbow room is at a minimum, but I think manageable! I absolutely loved the theater and the show there. I would go back again in the future for other shows!
