Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Big mistake as we were elbow to elbow. Some food lines had 10-20 in line. Don't get me wrong it had some great food. Parking was tough on street. Just get to a garage.

So many choices of places to get a snack or a meal. Many, many dessert options from famous Bassett's Ice Cream to Famous Cookies to various chocolate places and bakeries. Got a turkey sandwich from Hershel's Deli. The corned beef, pastrami and brisket all looked awesome too. Many cheese stands, produce places and other prepared food options. Around the block from the convention center and really close to Loew's. Easy walk from the subway, if you are staying in a different part of the city.

If I lived in Philly I would go here every day and try something new. I think that would take a couple years but I doubt that I'd be disappointed.

I had heard of this place so I decided to try it out. It's really cool. It's an indoor flea/street market filled with local vendors from organic fruits and veggies and organic local milk and dairy products to flowers and savory food from around the world. You will love it!

This is a collection of shops and food vendors not far from the convention center. Although there are maps of the vendors available, and unless you have a destination in mind, it's fun to just wander and explore. You just never know what you'll run across, from homemade ice cream, pretzels, fresh fish, local wines or seldom seen spices and ingredients. Great people watching too. Saturday morning is a great time to go and see all there is to offer.

Great food of every variety to eat there. Even better produce, seafood, candy and bakery products to take home and enjoy.

We were at the flower show and just walked across the street to this wonderful market and so glad we did. The weather outside was not the best but inside this place you had all kinds of things to see and eat. We got some great things and some dinner before going home. If your in the area you need to check this place out as there is something for everyone here.

The Reading Terminal Market is an experience that would take many paragraphs to describe. Cliff Notes version, if you get anywhere near Reading Terminal market, DO stop for lunch, food shopping or a special souvenir. We had the pleasure of doing business with Penna General Store in Reading Terminal. Wonderful people and good prices. We purchase some fragile items and they were very careful to wrap them well. Great selection of items to help you remember your trip to Center City area.Enjoy.

We walked through just to check this place out! Similar site as compared to Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA. We always like to walk through and by little gifts and enjoy small portions of the vendors food choices! We will be back!

We had breakfast here before wandering around. There are lots of vendors throughout: candy, seafood, fruits, vegetables, deli meat, honey, cookies, and much more. We returned later in the day and the market was jam-packed, making it difficult to make our way through.

We went on a Saturday. The selection of food vendors is vast and varied. However, the market was so crowded, we could hardly maneuver through. After we got our meals, it took at least fifteen minutes before we could get a table. The seating is limited and not very comfortable. A must stop is the famous 4th street cookie company. Delicious. If possible, try going on off hours.

It is definitely worth wandering through to take in the bustling sights and the enticing foods, though being there at peak lunch time made it very hard to maneuver the tight alleys and there were long lines for many of the more popular places. Getting there late morning is better because it isn't as crowded and you can get a much better look at what everyone has to offer. There is something there for everyone especially if you want to indulge your sweet tooth or have a hearty lunch while you people watch, then buy some of the local wares as a souvenir. Interesting spot to check out.

Reading Terminal Market is Philadelphia's version of Pikes Place Market (for those who have been to Seattle's famous market). It features an amazing array of delicious foods and local vendors. Every corner you turn, there are new smells and amazing enticements! Definitely check out the fresh hot pretzels and the donuts. They're to DIE for!

We came on a Saturday after seeing many food shows on tv about the market. Don't be in a rush and have no special plan and you will not be disappointed!

A nice place to walk through and grab a bite, get a smoothie or buy your favorite candy. Make sure you get your parking ticket validated while inside to avoid the $12 price (Validation gets it down to $4)
