The first day the water was cold, but we struck it out and had fun until someone got sick on the water slide and that had to be shut down. Day two, the water was extremely cold to the point the kids didn't want to go in especially my 4 year old. The only warm water was the hot tub, but they wouldn't allow kids in it and the 8 inches of water in the toddler area where there were a lot of adults and teenagers sitting due to the water being warm. The life guards and staff were very rude. "Well what do you expect it's below zero outside!" was what they were telling everyone. After about an hour of trying to make the best of it, we started having a hard time breathing, eyes burning etc. We changed and tried the arcade, another joke. Several games broke, prizes were horrible, costs to play were high and it was dirty. So we decided just to leave and go home early. As we were leaving, we heard the workers telling people the water park was closed due to the air exchange unit not working. Made sense being it was so hard to even breath, the chlorine levels were so high. Coincidence or not, my two boys and I ended up very sick the next day with respiratory infection! I'm still fighting off the cough after two weeks and 10 days on antibiotics. Besides all that, the waterpark was dirty and the locker rooms were absolutely disgusting. Pay the extra and go to Kalahari!

Took my daughter to a birthday party there today, first time either of us had ever been and we probably won't be back. The water was very cold, kids kept getting out to warm up-- their lips were turning blue and they were shivering!! (Us adults thought it was cold too, but you know its cold when kids are getting out because of it! Especially considering we have to beg them to come in from playing in the snow...) In addition, there wasn't much to do. There were 2 decent size water slides, a small lazy river, a small kiddie pool & a good sized jungle gym/water play scape. If your kids are over 12, this probably isn't the place for your family. My 10 year old had fun playing with her younger cousins, but she also told me privately that she wished there was more stuff "for bigger kids". It was also very crowded & the lockers were tiny--in the summer I'm sure they're fine, but they barely fit mine & kiddo's clothes; let alone coat, purse, etc. **I should note that the "party room" was only ours for 2 hrs which basically was presents, cake, pizza which is why we needed lockers. They have a "snack bar" but it is obscenely overpriced for typical fair/theme park food. There were not nearly enough places to sit either in the snack area or around the pool/slides/etc so getting around was difficult. There is hardly any parking right by the water park area, we had to walk almost all the way around the building, and the sidewalks had not been shoveled or salted. (There was a few inches of snow today.) All of the employees that I encountered were friendly at least, but I think that was the one positive of the entire day.

This place is big enough for a night or two getaway and it's small enough to let the kids have free range. I liked that I could just sit in the balcony and keep a watchful eye on my kids 12 and 8. for their ages there is enough to keep them occupied. There are two big slides some smaller slides and a lazy river. Rooms are big and cozy with microwaves and fridges and the price is reasonable.

We spent Valentine's Weekend there with our 3 children and had a fun weekend. The hotel was sold out both nights we were there and the watermark was busy, but there were almost no lines all day. The staff was very guest oriented. Towards the late afternoon on Saturday a child had an accident (vomit)in the lazy river, which they closed down for the remainder of the day. The staff was quick to react but it did put a damper in the remainder of the day for us. Water was warm. This watermark is perfect for smaller children as they only have 2 water slides and a large play area. Kids over 13 might prefer a larger watermark. We will return, the entire family had fun!

Six of us went in January and spent the night in the attached hotel. First of all let me say this water park is very small and is really only for kids 10 and under. Not a lot to do...can really only spend a couple hours in the park. I know we went in January but did not expect the water temperature to be so cold. The adult hot tub was not any warmer than the other areas of the water park. We complained several times but they never did anything about it. Several other guests were complaining as well. We ended up not staying at the park long as it was not very enjoyable with it being so cold. We have went previously when the water was warmer and it is much more enjoyable.

Small facility, but fun for the kids. but over priced. no half day passes! and you have to pay to watch, really, the parents already spend to much in the overpriced restaurant, and you have to pay to watch your kids to.

We went here just for a change of pace and it's indoors next to Cabelas. Lots of fun for the youngsters, but they need some improvements. The changing area was really wet and the place just seemed dark and dreary. The employees are very friendly, but still keep on eye on your younger kids. The snack bar is ridiculously priced and you can't find a dry place to sit down and eat. The kids had fun, but for the cost of admission, I expected much more. I think the cost of admission is too high considering if you add a few more bucks, you could head to a real water park in Ohio.

This is a great place to spend a day with the kids. Lots of fun indoor pools, waterslides. Between that and visiting Cabala's make for a great day for the family !

This facility is not being maintained properly. There is drywall falling off the walls due to humidity and lack of taking care of there mechanical system. The air quality in the park is so bad that it hurts to breath. The place should be condemned. They have a small pool location that isn't being taken care of either. (drywall falling off the walls, humidity level is out of control) This place is rotting... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

My family and I had a great experience. Our son loved the park and is now asking to come back again and again. We'll definitely come back. The local resident discount and the kids club make it a very good deal for us. I do have some suggestions for improvement, and I hope the management will see this review.First, there's the rust. I'm surprised to see many structures in a water park that weren't made to be water proof. The roof under the tipping bucket, the door in the back corner by the lazy river, the steps to the top of the slides, some drains, and some fixtures in the bathroom all had rust. Time to get the scraper and paint those surfaces. The bathroom really need work. While there are some drains, they don't work well, and there are large puddles in there creating a tripping hazard and a gross feeling of "what am I walking in here?" More drains or a sloped floor would make a huge difference. The bathrooms also really need odor control with some better ventilation or some deodorizing equipment. Finally, the timing of when things close was a bit odd. The snack shack closed *before* the water park closed, so trying to get our son out of the water by luring him with food proved to be a flawed plan. It would have been better to have the snack shack close at the same time as the water park. The game room also closed at the same time as the water park, so we had to yank our kid out of the water and hurry him over to the game room to exchange his tickets. Having the game room stay open for maybe 15 minutes after the water park closes would have helped a lot.The gift shop did stay open after the water park closed, but it closed before we had a chance to return our key and get our deposit back. The water park staff sent us to all the way over to the front desk of the hotel, but that didn't work. We then came back, and a manager helped us. We were told that they stay should have stayed open until all the keys were returned, but somehow, they forgot about us. Finally, we walked outside to the outdoor features, but they were not functioning. Bummer. There was no signage to indicate it was closed, so we just had to walkout and figure that out for ourselves.I guess we'll come back, but we'll just have to watch our step and work on our timing. We still had a fun day!

I've never experienced locker/changing rooms as wet at the ones at Splash Universe. We couldn't find a dry place to put our bag, our clothes, our towels. It colored the whole experience to have to put our wet feet through our pants legs and then into our shoes. Yuck. Most locker rooms have serious air circulation or an employee with a mop to prevent this problem. Also, only two of the 6 showers in the women's locker room even functioned. My husband reported that the men's room only had a big area for changing, but the women's side at least had separate changing stalls (plus the 4 non-functioning shower stalls). The water park itself is fun enough. Our 8- and 11- year- old had fun for 3 hours, but they started getting bored after that. We had dinner at the snack bar. The prices were about what you'd expect from a place like this: over-priced but not bank-breaking. The food was so-so, and not a vegetable or fruit on the menu. We did get cups of tap water for free. The floor of the snack area was as wet as the locker room, so when people dropped food it disintegrated into a mess quickly, and those non-existent mops would have come in handy. There are an abundance of lifeguards, and I saw them noticing the lifeguard-drill-dummies immediately. All the employees were friendly and cheerful. You will be safe here, but will feel like disinfecting your feet afterwards.

This waterpark is kind of small, but fun for the kiddos. It is connected to the Holiday Inn hotel. Across the street from Cabela's Outfitter Store.

It was a rainy day, so we brought the grandkids (ages 1-5) here. It was a good choice for kids that age, with a variety of water slides and other activities. There were plenty of guards who were very attentive and who gently enforced the very reasonable rules. All the staff members were pleasant and the snack bar was reasonably priced. It's a little hard to find the entrance---it is in the first drive behind the hotel entryway. Discounts are available for nearby residents and for admission after 3:00 p.m.

We took our grandchildren (and son) here for an overnight. It's attached to the Holiday Inn, so you just walk over to the water park from your room. Although this particular indoor water park is a bit smaller than some of the others, we were impressed by the number of life guards on duty. It's pretty obvious they are concerned about the safety of their guests. Our 13 and 10 year old had a lot of fun on the water slides and other "stuff". There is a hot tub cave for the adults...no one under 18 allowed in there. When I commented to the manager that the temperature was way too high in my opinion (we have had a hot tub ourselves) they looked into it right away and adjusted it for us. It wasn't at all crowded and that was nice. No lines to wait in for the slides like a few others we have taken them to. I found it to be very clean and everyone we encountered was pleasant and friendly.
