Well worth the time to find it and parking. Free admission to some of the most beautiful displays that I have ever seen. They come from all over the world even St. Peter's in Rome. It is very exciting and educational to see these displays right in front of you. You never know what you will find there or from what part of the world it comes from. The displays are always top notch and the information given to you is like a top college education. Make it a point of interest in New Haven

We've lived near New Haven all our lives but weren't aware of this gem of a museum. Free entrance and free parking underneath the building are a plus (take the elevator to the 2nd floor). Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The special exhibit of Nativity scenes was breathtaking. Some large, some small, all of them in various Italian styles of artistic expression. There is also a very interesting permanent museum that tells the history of the Knights of Columbus. We learned so much and came away with great appreciation and respect for the good work they do to help those in need. There's also a nice gift shop -- we bought some lovely small ceramic Nativity sets for only $12.00, to save for Christmas gifts next year. They plan to display German Nativity scenes in 2015.

Spend a wonderful afternoon enjoying the collection of Creches from Italy at the Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven, CT. The exhibit is up until Feb. 1, 2015 and entrance and parking are free.

We stumbled upon this museum on our way to the train station and at our entrance we were warmly welcome by the manager.Nice exhibition! Its highlight for us were the pieces related to the America's discovery. Definitely worth it!I accidentally lost my cellphone and it was given back to me by the museum personal. Honorable! Thank you again.

Interesting spot for my spouse who is a knight. Of limited interest otherwise. Small so can be seen in a short period of time. They provide parking and the museum is free.

First, I've got the feeling it's never crowded. Did not expect such beautiful artifacts in their collection! The workers there are friendly and professional. They even have a cloak room, with security, so you don't have to lug your things around! Enjoyed the artwork and all the exhibits with my Knight. It was very enjoyable to take our time through the museum together on a snowy day.

I was not sure what to expect when stopping here... but enjoying religious and faith excursions I figured this would be worth the stop. I was certainly happy I did. The museum is clean, filled with various exhibits from the Knights of Columbus along with feature exhibits which I'm told rotate every few months. A small donation is requested... but we were not directly asked for one. Parking is free underneath the complex. If you like religious and Catholic attractions and in New Haven, stop by.

The current exhibit of the Illuminated Bible is not to be missed, whether you know and read the Bible or not. The artistry and magic of the printing, the creation of the illustrations, and the story of why and where this began will take me back for at least one more visit!

New Haven is home to the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal organization that also happens to be a major insurer. Adjacent to its iconic tower, the K of C Museum provides a well-documented and permanent exhibit on the history of the Knights of Columbus, founded by New Haven cleric Fr. Michael McGivney in the late 19th century. That alone is worth a trip.Also on display at the museum are a series of rotating exhibits. The current exhibit features St. John's bibles, which is very well done -- as are all of the Museum's displays -- kudos to the museum staff! . Located only a few blocks from Yale University's many free art galleries, a trip to New Haven and the Knights of Columbus Museum is time well spent.

The exhibit "llluminating the Word: The Saint John’s Bible" is spectacular and beautiful. A definite must-see! The history of the Knights organization and their good works are exhibited beautifully and well worth the 3-4 hour visit. Admission and parking are FREE, which covers 2 of my favourites.

Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, and regardless of how many people in your party, this is a great stop in New Haven. There is a lot to see here! The staff is quite friendly, and the rotating exhibits are amazing (many are religious/historical items). I love coming here every time. It's quite impressive and the gift shop is always great.

Exception display of valued treasures and memorabilia demonstrating the commitment of the KOC to society having a long history of contribution in so many areas. Most poignant for me was the Papal area and the contributions during war times since WW1. Awesome review of a US historical contribution from the private sector.

This museum is a must and is a joy because of their curator. We visited the Icon show, a real treasure. The museum houses historical beginning and ongoing events of the Knights of Columbus. Friendly and helpful staff.

All exhibits are attractively presented and is true for the Russian Icons now on display. The museum is well maintained showcasing a permanent display of the history of the Knights of Columbus. Staff is polite and most helpful. A small gift shop is on-site. Parking is free as is admission; donations gladly accepted.

Nestled in an interesting post modernistic building, the Knghts of Columbus Museum is a treasure. Be sure to check out the enormous copper cross at the top of the stairs, a gift from the Vatican. The current exhibit is astounding: centuries of Russian icons. This is the collection of a single individual and it is impressive. The icons themselves are works of art. This was my second visit. On the first there was a free lecture by Marek Czarnecki on the writing of icons. He demonstrated the ancient art of creating icons using historical examples and his own icons in various stages. The museum itself is also free. The other exhibits from the permanent collection were equally interesting and educational. Check out the stand of bamboo in the internal parking area. Visiting on a windy day, my wife and I watched it from the second floor. It waved back and forth in the wind like a horticultural ballet. Close to the Museum, is the Italian section of New Haven with Sally, Frank Pepe's and Abate's pizza restaurants. We chose Abates - no waiting line and the pizza was perfect thin crust New York style pizza. Still dreaming about the escarole white bean pie we shared!
