Main, Court and Church Streets in downtown Lynchburg have so much history. Fortunately, there are periodic plaques or signs that explain the local history, especially the Civil War era. Downtown improvements continue, making this city a nice place to visit, but there are lots of hills to climb.

We enjoyed the beautiful architecture of the surrounding buildings, memorials as you go up the steps and the museum at the top.
