It's worth a stop and it's a photo opp if you are close by but not a special trip for it. I found it rather sentential but my son just off a 9 month deployment said guys that put up stuff like this have clearly never been to sea...

Symbolic and captures the feelings of the sailors. God bless them all and keep them safe on their travels.

A little off the beaten path, but worth the effort to view. Gives you the feel of a sailors life, sea-bag and all.

Located off the beaten path, the lone sailor statue stands guard looking at the Battleship Wisconsin. The evocative statue, coupled with the monuments around "Wisconsin Square" really bring home the challenges and dangers of being a sailor. Definitely worth taking the walk to see.
