My two daughters and I went on the guided Go-Devil private tour July 9th. They are 12 and 9. We went at 6:00 pm which was a great time, the sun was starting to set but we could still see everything. There was a nice, cool breeze. We were expecting tons of mosquitoes so we wore jeans and tennis shoes but we didn't see one mosquito! Billy was amazing, very patient and told us interesting facts and answered any questions we had. He also has amazing respect for the lake and it's inhabitants. There was a mother duck with babies and instead of staying on his normal path he turned away and backtracked, as he didn't want to run over any baby ducklings who may have stayed in hiding. It's definitely a once in a lifetime experience, Caddo Lake is very unique and if you're in the area I'd recommend it to anyone, young or old, kids or no kids. Skip the steamboat and pontoon boats and go on a smaller boat that will get you in all of the nooks and crevices that the larger vessels can't get to.

We went fishing with our 8 and 10 year old kids for about 4 hours and caught about 12 fish. The area is beautiful and Billy knows it so well and kept us entertained and fishing the whole time. It was great.

We didn't make reservations but just showed up at Johnson's Ranch hoping for a ride. My wife and I are amateur photographers, and we were there when the light was right. The lady said they were booked for the next two days. But Billy was bringing in a couple of fishermen, and she said she'd ask him if he wanted to eat his lunch then take us for a quick tour. Billy said, "Lunch is no big deal," and motioned us aboard. As we pulled out he asked, "scenery or critters?" We said, "both." And both we got -- an alligator floating within a long arm's reach, an osprey lifting from its nest, and the crowning jewel, Dick and Charlie's Tea Room. The short ride lasted over an hour and we got a ton of good photos. We're planning to go back for a longer visit. When we do we'll stay in one of the cottages Billy owns. He's a class act.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour - Angie was very informative as a guide. We went later in the evening - about 5:30 p.m. hoping to get some interesting photos of a low, setting sun through the cypress trees....we were not disappointed. These tours are on the smaller, flat bottom "john boats" so they were able to get through the remote parts of the lake - where it was really swamp-like and a little creepy - but awesome! I can totally see this lake being used in every Hollywood movie that need a swamp-setting. It's a shame to hear about the encroaching salvina weed that's taking over -- SAVE THE CADDO!

What a great time. Go Devil tours provided a very informative tour of Texas' only natural lake and state treasure. Seven of us went out for our hour plus long tour and were taken back in time. Friendly, fun, beautiful. Caddo lake history and local lore greeted us at every turn. See the old haunts of the Texas Badlands. Hear the stories of the Modulators and the Regulators. Travel down the Government Ditch. Enjoy the sights, the sounds, and the smell of nature. Treat yourself and your family to a wonderful experience. I will be going back for an after sunset tour to see the gators and hear the creatures of the night. You won't find this ride at Six Flags. You"ll find it at Go Devil Tours.

We took this tour several years ago and it is something we still talk about. We wanted a day and night trip, so Billy took us out for a two hour sunset tour of Caddo. This guy knows this mysterious lake so well. We wound up catching bullfrogs (I caught mine!) and we were afraid he was going to catch the gator and throw it in the boat with all the frogs we caught! Grown men shouldn't have this much fun.

Our family just got back from a long weekend in Uncertain, during which we went for a tour on Lake Cado with Go Devil tours. Our guide, Angie, was very friendly and informative and we all enjoyed the hour-long ride. Visiting in February meant that there was not a large amount of wildlife visible, although we did see plenty of bird life. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Uncertain and Lake Cado.

Howdy All,My Wonderful Wife and I just returned from 2 very restful and peaceful days in Uncertain Texas. We had two main things that we wanted to see and do while we were there, one was the Graceful Ghost Steamboat Tour, and the other was a personal tour of Caddo Lake. I have to say we found the perfect way to see all that Caddo Lake had to offer and were led through the mysterious wonderland of Cypress Trees, Spanish Moss, an abundance of different Wildlife, and Water lilies by Angie of Billy Carter's Go-Devil Tours. Angie met us at the Dock at Johnson Ranch there in Uncertain in the Go-Devil boat, the engine set up is made in Louisiana and was the perfect type of motor and prop for all the different water levels that she took us through, it can go in shallow water that most other boats can't get into, even as little as 3-4"You could tell Angies' love and passion for the Lake, the area, and the rich History. We learned that she's lived on the lake for almost 30 years, and you could see that twinkle in her eyes as she told about all the different events that had taken place on and around the lake and it's History, She was also very knowledgeable about all the different type of vegetation, flowers, and the different species of Wildlife and Birds. This was so peaceful and enjoyable, we never rushed or felt rushed, there was always time for that next picture, as we are avid/rabid <G> amateur Photographers. Angie seemed to know all the great shots, and approached at the right angle for good lighting and composition. I have to say, we were a little sad when the two hours was over and it was time to head back to Johnson's Ranch Dock, but we've already talked about going back, and taking another and longer tour with Angie and Go-Devil will be our first stop. This is the perfect way to see this wonderful and beautiful Lake, the only Natural Lake in Texas. I highly recommend this Tour if your in the Area, or if not in the area, it's certainly worth the trip to take this wonderful adventure.Kindest Regards,Craig and Karen
