If you want to experience what small towns were like back in the "Old Days", then this has to be a MUST visit! They will play not first run movies (but close), but that's not why you should go there. It's the friendly atmosphere that you're there for. You take some lawn chairs, the family, & just get ready to relax & visit. The kids run around playing, the snack bar is open with goodies although they won't bust you down If you bring in your own, and the guy running the projector doesn't mind showing you where the magic comes from. It's all so quaint & charming one can't help but feel "yeah...this is what it must've been like in the old days in a small town". Loved it! The movie was pretty good too!

Some highlights:- $5/person- bring your own food and drinks (coolers welcome), concession is still cheap- can bring your own chairs, but the ones there are fine- first run movies! (we saw Iron Man 3 on opening night)- quality of audio and video was great- got to watch a movie under a beautiful star filled sky, even saw a shooting star during the movie!Can't recommend enough!

Of the list of things that make Wimberley TX a unique place the Corral Theater is near the top. Bring your own preferred refreshments (wine and beer) and get yourself a big bunch of popcorn and watch a first run movie in a theater whose ceiling is filled with real stars. You're not in Houston anymore.

I've been to the place twice now and can't say enough how wonderful this place is. Cheap snacks, great atmosphere, incredibly pleasant people. I'm only sorry these reviews will encourage too many people to go and spoil this quaint little theater.

FIRST RUN movies for $5, w/ $1 concessions, and our daughter got to try her first outdoor movie. The speakers snapped occasionally, but the picture quality was great and it added to the feel of the film. p.s. One website says they typically show PG-13 movies, but we saw Despicable Me 2, and the next weekend they were showing Turbo, both of which are popular kids movies, so check their listings online.

We've been going to the corral for eight years now. Absolutely love it. Great for families with kids of all ages. Bring bug spray and your own chairs for an even better experience :)

Nothing beats a night at the Corral. I've been visiting the Corral since the 50's and it is fun for the whole family. You can bring your own chairs and coolers with drinks or buy your drinks there. No problem bringing in alcohol. The tickets are $5 each and the snacks are inexpensive also!We've never had a problem with mosquitoes and the weather is pleasant as the movie starts when the sun goes down. If you are visiting Wimberley, don't miss it!

Sit in a lawn chair under the stars and watch a first run movie. Buy a box of popcorn and a soft drink for $1 each...or bring your own beverages and food. The admission has gone up...to $5 per person.

This was great for an evening with my wife. We brought our own lawn chairs in and our own ice chest. I was able to enjoy a cold beer during the movie. The staff was very friendly. Drinks , snacks and popcorn were all just $1 each. This is a jem. We even hit the weather just perfect as the temp was about 65 by the time the movie was finished. If you are in wimberly and have a free evening, you should check this place out.

This is definitely a unique place. Pack up the whole family and come see first run movies. They have chairs and bleachers, but you are welcome to bring your own comfortable portable chairs. They will allow you to bring your own cooler for enjoying snacks at the show. They do have concessions at a reasonable price. It is outside, so bring your bug spray. The price is low...as of last year, the price was about half what you'd pay at a commerical theater. Be aware...this is a family and kid friendly setting, so its not always as quiet as a typical movie theater.

First run movies at old fashioned prices. Popcorn and drinks for a dollar, kids on blankets, old fashioned out door chairs (or bring your own), bleachers in the back. A great way to spend a summer evening.

$5 for first run movies sitting outside under the stars and able to bring our own drinks and snacks. What's not to love? We go to the Corral Theatre often.

Nothing fancy about it!! Not even the prices!!Bring in you own lawn chair, your own cooler, a blanket, whatever you desire..Enjoy a movie under the stars!! This has been in our town for decades, and still a simple, wonderful classic!!

Outdoors at night watching a movie with family. Great prices, small town feel. Everyone knew every one.
