sombra antiqua winery

We stopped by one Sunday afternoon actually on our way to a different winery. We were pleasantly surprised by the wines and impressed with how wonderful our bartender was. The owner actually introduced himself and we told him how pleased we were. We look forward to attending some of their special events later on this summer and fall.

The winery is a gem operated by The Fishers, Teresa and David, who have created a destination off of NM highway 28 between mile makers 8 & 9 on La Vina Rd. It is lovely facility with a beautifully landscaped outdoor patio and lawn offers views of vineyards,orchards,mountains and mesas. A very nice tasting room with excellent service is just off the Patio. The Patio is also home to entertainment on weekends with mixes of Latin,Rock and Jazz. The Patio is pet friendly and welcomes well behaved Patrons and their Masters. A tour of New Mexico Wine Country is not complete without a visit to Sombra Antiqua.
