The Old Log has beautiful sets and an excellent atmosphere. The restaurant and bar are by far the best I've ever experienced in a theater.

This was our second visit to the Old Log Theater since the new owners Greg and Marissa Frankenfield took it over. Again we were so entertained with the production of Outside Mullingar. The actors really made you feel like you were in the room with them. The level of talent that the Old Log attracts is something that those of us in the Western suburbs should really be grateful for and take advantage of. Kent Knutson, artistic director continually produces shows that touch the audience in unique ways. The most exciting thing for us was the restaurant Cast and Cru. We were delighted by the inventive menu, the service and just having a great place to eat before the show under one roof We are going to get season tickets! Can't wait to return!

We always have enjoyed the Old Log. The new ownership is venturing into different types of plays, which is fine. The play we just saw Outside Mullingar was good, but with some of the deathhumor wasn't good as we brought my wife's 92 year old mother.

Had a fantastic experience with large work group. The company I work for hosted key partners for a limo bus and show at OLT. what a great place! Great looking lobby. Kitchen looked 5 star (we didn't dine but wished we had) the theatre was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The wine list was impressive. We had an all around great time. Oh yeah...the show "Life could be a dream" was fantastic. Great cast! Kudos to you all. As my title suggests...what took me so long to go there won't happen again. I'll be going back many times.

What a surprise. An inviting restaurant and bar, comfortable seating, in a unique setting. The new owners have made major upgrades. (The production was pretty good too.)

Loved "Life Could Be a Dream" at the Old Log Theater; the doo wop music was just what the doctor ordered for a friend who's been through one medical incident after another. For the rest of us, we were bouncing in our seats. Hadn't been to the Old Log for years; it's now very modern and professionally run. Will definitely be back soon.

My book club went here for Christmas 2013 an enjoyed it completely. We loved the atmosphere and the food was good. We also enjoyed the show. Very fun, would go again.

We thoroughly enjoyed "Life Could be a Dream" at the Old Log Theater. The theater was recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. I never would have guessed there would be this level of performance in a hidden-away little Minnesota town. I highly recommend it!

I love it, the shows are top notch! " Life Could Be A Dream" the current show is a musical trip down memory lane of the best kind. The only thing missing was an oncore. Leaves you feeling you want more! I will be back with another group of friends. Loved "On Golden Pond" Steel Magnolias" too!To the new owners, please rethink your Cast & Cru menu. Please tone it down, and step up the quality. I would recommend that parents not bring children here as there is NOTHING FOR THEM ON THE MENU. When I mention Ice cream to the chef he said "we have ice cream, I said right but nothing for kids. No response after I said "right" cardamom and coffe ice cream is all. There is no kids menu and nothing on the menu for kids. Not much for mixed parties either. After looking at the menu I could find nothing I would want to order. Prices are ale carte so you could spend $50.00 plus on a meal. I don't mind spending the money if it is food I want to eat.

My wife and I were swept away by the Old Log Theatre's production of "Life Could Be a Dream" on September 12th, 2014. We were visitors to the area and dropped in for what we thought would be a charming neighborhood theater experience. Instead, we were carried away by the fits of nostalgia that this production evoked. The plot line was deliberately hokey, but the 20-plus musical numbers, ranging from "Unchained Melody" to "Duke of Earl" were fantastic -- professionally performed and absolutely charming to listen to. For anyone who lived through or cares to recall music of the late Fifties and early Sixties, this renovated theater (with an excellent sound system) and this show should be a must do.

This theater is very nice, the newly remodeled entry, bar and restaurant is beautiful! Regarding the restaurant: The food we had was pretty bad. I had very dry chicken with potatoes and asparagus. The sauce for the chicken was tasty but there really was no way to even eat it due to the dryness. The asparagus were cooked nice and the rolls were yummy. The bartenders seemed to be rookies, was very hard to get a decent White Russian. It was beautiful but if they want repeat and new customers, they really need new management and chef.We say the play Life Could Be A Dream. We really enjoyed it and the venue also. Would for sure go back for a play but would not eat there.

We've been coming for years andAbsolutely love it. Have never eaten dinner so can't speak for the food quality but great shows with great seats in all locations. Very kid friendly and they have a ton of kid plays during the holidays and summer. Overall a real local gem.

I've only been to two plays here so far and have thoroughly enjoyed them both. This little theater is cozy and not a bad seat in the house. I enjoyed a cocktail/glass of wine before and/or during intermission. Have not had the pleasure of trying their dinners, but plan to do so in the future. Looking forward to their renovation upgrades!
