superior national forest's lookout mountain trails

Living on the Iron Range most of my life, I never knew how much was hiding on the divide. There are many miles of well-maintained trails, wonderful views, and even a workout course as part of the mountain lookout trail. If you have an hour or two, check it out.

I love hiking these trails with my dogs. Some of the views are just fantastic. One very large problem is that there are marsh areas around that are serious mosquito breeding grounds. I would recommend plenty of high DEET concentration bug juice.
