This place is to expensive, they need some competition here, we could get a family pass at 6 flags for 150$ less a year than this place. That's for a family of 5. It's ridiculous what they charge!

I took my boys - 8 and 10 - while visiting family in Boise, and what a great time we had! We went on a day when we could get in 3 for 2 so that made a big difference cost-wise, but I still think it would be worth full-price. We just don't have something like this in the NW - we spent five hours, would have stayed longer but had to drive a bit that evening. The slides were all great, the lazy river was perfect - a nice "break" in between slides every once in awhile! We thought all of the staff seemed very friendly and helpful - we really didn't have any complaints for the day. Yes the food was expensive, but I guess I see that as being expected at any amusement park. Now we just have to go back again with hubby since he missed out!

Lots of fun for all ages awaits at Roaring Springs! They add a new attraction almost every year, so whether you have little ones in the splash pool area - prefer the lazy river or wave pool - or are the daring type who are up for the latest water slide technology... This park is for YOU! It is quite speedy for a day, so look for coupons on Coke cans or in hotel lobbies or online, wherever you can find them! Unless you live in town, then the best idea is to get a season pass because if you go more than 3 times it's paid for.

Great place for families. Lots of fun attractions. Really like the family raft rides. You can stay all day. Staff is friendly.

Kids and adults had a blast. They loved all the slides except the one that was dark while going down. It's definitely worth it to search out coupons or packages for discounts. Four kids and two adults with snacks, the costs were nearly $200 for the afternoon. They don't allow outside food in the park, but bring a cooler and go out to the car for a snack. Food prices are outrageous. Overall, they had a great time and would go again but next time we will look for coupons. I've heard Costco sells discounted tickets, but haven't officially confirmed that.

I am not writing this review because i have been to the park....I am writing to let others know the generosity of the park owners for offering to the families of deployed military, namely Air Force from Mountain Home AF base...free admission to the park for the family including food and free beverages for the day......I know that this seems like a simple act of kindness to some but to those families who are missing their loved ones and don't have extra funds for things like this...it is HUGE.....and I am thanking you very much from the bottom of my heart for your generosity toward my daughter - in -law and her 2 children while they are missing their husband and daddy!!!!!THANK YOU

We go there every year. Even the teenagers love it! Clean, fun and feels safe but the food is a bit spendy.

Visited the park over the weekend. A day pass for adults is $30.00. Kids $25.00. Jackson's offers $5.50 off if you purchase two 20 oz. drinks. If you plan to visit often during the season, you may consider purchasing a season pass. There are discount time periods to get the best price. Friday and Saturday Slide nights are very busy with many teens and young adults. Gets very crowded.Overall, the park is very nice, and clean. It was a hot day over 90F, so a good day to visit. It does get crowded, so you may want to get there early in order to secure a lounge chair or chaise. I would recommend wearing sandals, water shoes, flip-flops etc...the ground gets very hot. It is best to visit on a hot day as the park does not heat the water, so it can be cold. Once your in, it's tolerable. Even better on a hot day. Remember to bring sunscreen. The little kids area is great, lots of splash activities, and a few slides especially for little one's. Great fun for the littlest ones.The other park rides are great for young kids to adults. Some rides can have multiple riders and other are solo. The lines can get long on hot days when it's busy. The wave pool and lazy river never have a wait, you can stroll right in. Both are fun. Now for the part I do not agree with. PRICES. Food and Drinks are EXPENSIVE. You cannot bring in outside food or drinks. I brought in an empty sports bottle, and filled it there. They do have water available. Bottled water is $2.50 to $3.50 for a Dasani or Smart Water. A fountain drink is $2.50 for a regular and $3.00 for a large. You can buy these for less than half at your local Convenience Store. A bit outrageous if you ask me. Meal Deals range from $6.50 for a slice of pizza and a drink to $10.00 for a double cheese burger, fries and a drink. They do have a variety of sandwiches, tacos, burritos, chicken strips, burgers and pizza, and salads. Good variety, but expensive, especially when you cannot bring in your own. I honestly think the park should allow you to bring in snacks, especially for little ones. I would recommend leaving the park to get a bite, then coming back. I think you will save quite a bit of money. There is a new Wal-Mart across the street with a Subway and Deli if you don't want to venture too far. Just remember to get your hand stamped to come back in the park. For a family of 4 you can expect to spend approximately $150 for the day including meals and snacks. I think the park could reduce their prices by at least 30% to 40% and still make a decent profit. I know their season is short, but it's Idaho, not California or Orlando. I would recommend Roaring Springs for all families. It is a lot of fun for the person who just lounge in the sun, to the adventuresome who want to ride the slides and play in the water.

We bought the triple the fun deal at Wahooz ( around $130) spent the entire day of 7-25-14 at both places for my sister's 16 birthday. I loved the endless river and the wave pool, although if you're not a good swimmer like myself, stay out off the deep end during the waves. HaHa.. The food is a bit spendy, we went to the pizza place and bought the family meal, 4 sodas, 4 bread sticks, and a 14 inch pizza for about $30 including taxes. They have lots of thrilling rides and a kiddie area for the toddlers. I wish though they didn't have weight limits on some of the slides, but I do understand they are for the riders safety. I'm hopefully coming back next summer.

Took an 11-year-old and a 9-year-old to Roaring Springs for the first time. We all had a blast. We went on a day that the high temperature was about 80 degrees and it was perfect. Not too busy and the lines weren't too long.I'd recommend going on a day with a discount. We went on a Thursday after 3pm and it was only $13/person. More time than this at the park would be worth it for kids, but I can't imagine being there much longer than 3pm-8pm. Food is typical fried fair-type food and rather pricey. They do not let you bring outside food or drinks (except bottled water) into the park, which is kind of a pain.Most of the employees and lifeguards were very friendly and seemed to love working with kids. Lockers are available for rent. On the day we went there were plenty of tables and places to sit available, but I could see it being hard to find a place to sit or relax during a busy weekend. We were a group of three, which made it hard for several of the rides that were better suited for two. Honestly though, it didn't stop us from the rides. We just found ways for all of us to take turns with each other.

This may not be the best waterpark in the west but it is a really good waterpark and certainly the best in Idaho. We are lucky to have it here. Not too crowded, as the price keeps the numbers down. A new ride is added each year to keep things fresh.

Been several times. Have always enjoyed ourselves. We have a 3yr old & 1yr old. They had a blast and were super tired after dinner. Made going to bed easy. Great food. Fun rides for all ages.

Being tourists in Boise we decided to treat the kids to a day at the waterpark. It is very nicely laid out and seem well kept up. We splurged and purchased a cabana to have a meeting place. Not sure it was needed but did have quick food service. You are only allowed 8 guests in the cabana and they are very strict about this head count. They only have 1 larger cabana and it was sold out. Still had a fun day and the kids were worn out!

We have a 6 and 8 year old and showed up at 4pm on a 95 degree day. Perfect timing as the crowd started to thin around 5:30-6:00pm. I could see on a hot day that the lines could be unbearably long. We got lucky as we had NO lines. The rafting slides are excellent, though short. The park is clean, locker rentals are reasonable, and the staff is INCREDIBLY friendly.
